But to answer OP; yes, Cook should get to the end of the season, yes not getting promoted would be a failure, and yes I would let Cook have another crack next season. i think he should get until the end of the season. Then, it would be sense to review where we are at that point. If we have gone up, then of course he will stay. If we get into the play offs, but fail, then probably he should stay if we are seeing enough encouraging signs.
If we miss the play offs completely, then I think he should probably go.
I don't think it is much more complicated than that. But for god sakes, let's give him a season of our full support and get behind him and the team. Anything else, will just make them fail anyway. |  |
