Interesting 16:07 - Jan 4 with 1754 views | Fixed_It | Can't book cinema tickets at our local cinemas beyond Thursday. Hmmm...

Interesting on 16:10 - Jan 4 with 1711 views | J2BLUE | The NHS is apparently at breaking point and the time to act was a while ago so wouldn't be any surprise if BJ has decided we need another lockdown.

Interesting on 16:15 - Jan 4 with 1660 views | SitfcB | This was all over twitter last night as well but I’m sure it’s common practice for cinemas to run Thursday to Thursday for bookings/listings in most cases?

Interesting on 16:16 - Jan 4 with 1640 views | Herbivore | Isn't that just down to new releases coming out on a Thursday and the weekly cinema scheduling thus running from Thursday to Thursday?

No chance the government would have told disgruntled cinema owners not to book after Thursday and it wouldn't have leaked out. NHS is looking very stretched today so of course they won't change anything. Javid has said today Plan B is enough. Wouldn't be surprised if they ditched even Plan B to be honest. Certainly wouldn't be surprised by another reduction in isolation time to get the workforce out there. Only the 219,000 cases today after all. SB [Post edited 4 Jan 2022 16:20]

I remember those old 'cinemas' in London where dirty old men watched Thomas The Tank films.

Interesting on 16:34 - Jan 4 with 1462 views | JakeITFC | I did notice that (as I wanted to book something for this weekend) but put it down to Cineworld being as incompetent as usual rather than anything lockdown related. All boxing events have also been cancelled for January, on a loosely related note.

Still have your ticket stubs, eh? Wonder if any of those places still exist. *Opens incognito window*

Don't, it's a travesty. Just remember how great the first two were and don't ruin the memories.

You're way behind fruit. They're releasing 152 tomorrow.
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

There was quite a funnyTwitter thread decrying the new film and people going apesh1t over it, saying it was obviously crap because it was made by women this time. What ensued was hilarity.

ANIMATRIX was pretty good and REVOLUTIONS at least had some good fun big scale action. The sequel was an absolute travesty as you say.

I was just assuming there would be even more Mr Smiths and Nemo would have to fight them all off with a bit of spinning and flying through the air sort of stuff. Then there'd be some moralistic dilemma to address where maybe someone significant dies, but they don't really it turns out, (or they do but it's only temporary), and then a bright light to be interpreted as a godly moment intended to add a bit of spiritual meaning or some other old bollox . I'll probably watch it one day when it reaches the screen in the living room though.
