Saturday Line-Up 12:23 - Jan 19 with 2969 views | jayessess | What do we reckon KMcK will go with, what would you go with? Reckon Matt Penney's time might have come, with KVY coming in. The lack of creativity was concerning on Saturday and Celina is a very obvious temptation, but I suspect the way Accrington play is going to encourage us to stick with Aluko, Norwood and Bonne.

Saturday Line-Up on 12:31 - Jan 19 with 2525 views | boroughblue | wonder if we'll change formation. I like how we've been using the 352, and it definitely played well using it (other than at Bolton by the sounds of it), but we have a lot of talented wingers (Aluko, Celina, Edwards etc) who can't be utilised effectively or together when playing wingbacks. Not sure what formation we'd change too, because I've also liked the partnership of Bonne and Norwood which will be lost in say a 4231 formation for example. On the flip side, the 3 CB's have worked well together. Not really sure what conclusion I've come to their, just a lot of thinking out loud whilst I'm bored.

I feel we should be getting Celina and Aluko in the same team. How I don't know but McKenna will work it out I'm sure. His pace was what used to get him out of trouble more often than not and he looks a shadow of the player he was. I’d stick with Penney. He may not be the best left back we’ve ever had but he’s by no means the worst either!

Any full back getting substituted like for like is on pretty dodgy ground for the next one, I'd say.

Saturday Line-Up on 15:20 - Jan 19 with 1956 views | OwainG1992 | Sadly KVY ain't the player he used to be. Wish he was but he simply isn't. For me you stick with Walton and the back 3 of Janoi Woolfy And Fridge Burns has to play Morsy Probably Evans but I wouldn't mind someone else getting a crack. Maybe Harper? Not seen him with Morsy. LWB/LM Penney will probably get it but would anyone want to see Edwards there? Against a lesser opposition could work well in an attacking sense. 10 Aluko. Chaplin pushing closely. Norwood and Bonne. Think we've called it a little early on KVY. He's had some good games this season - Wycombe away for one. I think he's improved us in both his recent cameos too.

A backwards step from Penney is barely possible at this level.
Saturday Line-Up on 15:51 - Jan 19 with 1842 views | southnorfolkblue | Assuming Walton can play I’d keep an unchanged team. The team did fine in the 2 previous games so I would be loathe to change it because of one bad day at the office

These arguments are firmly set in the 1980's and are incredibly annoying. You're essentially saying any skilful player is to lightweight to play against hard tackling teams and that has been proven to be total nonsense - most of the best teams are full of "lightweight" skilful players. SB

Find it amazing there is no middle ground with some people. Someone is either good (or better) or the worst player in the league. We still have Kenlock on our books, for starters.

Quite. One of Celina's best games for us was against probably the most physical teams in the league - Wycombe. If you're technically good enough, then you're going to be able to move the ball away from defenders via quick passing or dribbling, which prevents them from dispossessing you (legally anyway), that's the point of getting such players in! As it happens Aluko gets dispossessed slightly more often than Celina does (1.5/90 v. 0.8/90), despite being on the ball slightly less (he completes 24.4 passes/90 v. Celina's 27.9/90). The trade off in terms of ball retention isn't that Celina gets tackled more often, it's that his passing is less consistently accurate (Aluko's our 2nd most consistent behind Morsy, completing 85.8% of his passes to Celina's 76.7%).

Ridiculous. Matt Penney is a perfectly competent left-back who was signed as a backup but has done a solid job all season as the main player in that position, bar one awful moment against Plymouth which somehow is all people seem to remember. He is far from our best player, but he is definitely an average player at this level and is criminally underrated by so many fans.
| They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all! | Poll: | Who should start in CM with Cajuste? |

I think he had a very poor game at Plymouth - more than one mistake. Was poor at the weekend and showed he didn’t have it in him to beat the fullback. But, fair enough, probably ok as a backup. The Coulsen saga is the biggest issue. Stu Watson mentioned on the KOA podcast today that as Coulsen isn’t fit at this point in January that maybe the club have had enough and will cut his loan short. I think if we are able to do this then it’s best and then bring in a first-choice LWB/LB. We’re still not sure how good Coulson is at this point and if he can stay fit….. which means we have to look at Penney as a potential first-choice full-back. And he’s not good enough.
