I think when we were looking at this last week, we’d only made up 1 point on 6th place since McKenna took over. And that won’t have changed after the draw at Oxford. Crazy really. As you say, barely a dent. That’s why making up another 6 points isn’t remotely likely imo. But there’s that tiny bit of hope we can do what Plymouth have done. But very, very tiny. |  |

The problem is for all the good form we’ve had since KM’s appointment we can’t win games consecutively, in large chunks and we draw too many games and that’s why we haven’t made an impression. 5 draws in the last 8 games isn’t going to see you make the top 6 and that’s the reality of the situation. Exactly the kind of form you need to have at varying points through the season if you want promotion, despite our improvement we haven’t even managed 3 on the bounce. We really do need to learn how to be ruthless, especially as we put ourselves in a position to be given our control of games. | | | |
