Utter turd.

This is, by some margin, the worst government in my living memory.

There’s not one of them that I actually have any faith in, although it’s been unprecedented times they have been utterly woeful. Would love to see Mick Lynch in a debate with BJ, Lynch would chew him up and spit him out.

Indeed. Comfortably the worst opposition and political media too.

That’s no coincidence. Our press (and I include the BBC and Guardian in that, not just the usual right-wing rags) have an awful lot to answer for regarding where we now find ourselves.

You mean the £124,000 per year Mick Lynch - chew him up and spit him out - where is language like that going to get us. Someone else on here is predicting a riot!!!
We never learn from history do we. For the socialists on here - strikes never benefit the labour party and never will.
Yep it is a period of hardship for all of us; it happens one or twice every generation whoever is in power. Us old enough have seen it all before; nowt is new, just the reaction to it all. I remember beer and sandwiches at number 10 with Harold Wilson (my first political hero) during the seamans strike in 1966 - nothing has changed. As I have said before - there are 65000000 of us on these islands and just 650 Mp's. As decent citizens most of us control our own destiny - just stop blaming others ALL the time for your individual plight.
I will do everything I can to help those less fortunate than me - and so should we all - simples.

I apologise for not making it clear that I agree with anyone, of any political persuasion that is against the current RMT union strike.

So hope that makes it more understandable.

I do not support these rail strikes. These people should be thankful they still have a job. Thousands lost theirs during the pandemic and it's not as if they are on low wages either. But we all know this is not about wages etc, it's about the unions trying to oust Boris from no 10

Funny how this pathetic excuse for a government don't want to get involved in the rail dispute.

Clearly attacking the motives of the RMT doesn't count as getting involved.

Unions are not “out to bring down the government” - a government that has held public service workers down since austerity. They are using strikes as a last resort.

People like Hunt have never been “workers” and yet they too benefit from the achievements of unions.

While it is awful that people lost their jobs, that is not the fault or responsibility of RMT members is it? That's down to the total mismanagement, corruption and greed of this government and their predecessors.

The idea that this, over the years and litany of incidents that should have ended Boris is anything more than the potential straw is a fantasy of the right wing press. It's completely illogical.

Hunt shouldn't be running a tuck shop let alone a member of government.

Have the people of Ipswich understood their mistake yet? Because it has been a very bad one, and one that's put genuine shame on the town nationally to boot. Fortunately it can be corrected anonymously at the ballot box.

While Google, Amazon etc continue to dodge tax in the billions I will support people asking for a fair wage.

I've read this a few times and thought shall I/ shan't I, but probably against my better nature, I'll have a little nibble.
Why are you doing the Tories job of setting worker against worker and being complicit in the smokescreen being cast to hide the absolute sh1tshow this crowd of phonies is presiding over?
And as for the ridiculous notion that the unions are trying to oust Johnson from No 10, even if it was possible (and it clearly isn't) surely that is something we all should vehemently support?
The unions aren't bringing this country to it's knees, this current crop of charlatans allegedly running the country are expertly leading the way.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Then you and anyone else in his constituency who feel that way should write into the letters feature of the EADP as a response to the propaganda pieces they keep publishing for him.

It needs to be made clear that plenty of people see straight through him.

Yes the whole political discourse is polarised and rotten. The government, enabled by its client press, turning any criticism into woke culture wars and a weak opposition too afraid to do anything about it. I was unlucky enough to catch a bit of Jeremy Kyle on talk TV. That's the level of debate we've sunk to.
