In fairness, Frimmers has been accused of stealing from the club for using iFollow. It's very rare that there's an actual pirate stream of our games, as it requires a TV company somewhere to be broadcasting it live.

There has been one or two who can't seem to grasp that using a vpn still means proceeds go where they're supposed to.

I know a few that use a VPN using ifollow. Loads of Wednesday fans I play footy with have done it for ages

So you pay £110 a year for iFollow plus a vpn fee? Any idea how much of that £110 goes to the club? I’m betting it isn’t anywhere near what you actually pay

Why are you still pushing this bullsh1t? The club earns the same amount from someone accessing ifollow using a vpn as anyone else using ifollow without one. It's not complicated. Which is more than the club would receive if that person cannot attend at all. How the percentages work out has feck all to do with the user. The story is there for you to read if you're actually interested in how the money is shared though. [Post edited 18 Jul 2022 20:44]

Course they don’t. It’s £10 a match for UK residents.

Well as a season ticket holder I only use it for away games I can’t go to (which is probably the majority) and always pay the £10 despite using aVPN to get the Saturday matches [Post edited 18 Jul 2022 20:56]

And how much of the £100 quid for a train ticket and a seat at Portman Road that you're spending is going to the club? £750k from people who wouldn't normally be able to go, versus £0 for the club whilst they sit at home watching Jeff Stelling. Its not rocket science. Not everyone is in the position to afford £100 odd quid every other week. If he wouldn't normally actually go, how is he stealing from the club? Well of course. I don't know what point he thinks he's making. I don't bother with messing about with a vpn if it's being shown anyway. Why would I? And if/when one watches from the continent it is 11 Euros or similar so the odds are pretty much made up. Unless someone wants to be petty and complain about 30p or something difference on the exchange. There's some strange folk about.

Let’s all sit at home on Saturday afternoon and watch it then shall we? Solve climate change & keep a few extra quid in our pockets for some beers and presents for the kids? What do you think would happen if we all did this? Why do you think the 2-5pm blackout exists for football matches on Saturday afternoons in this country?

Give over, you go to the football because you want to, it's a leisure activity not a great moral commitment you're making! If people can't make the game, it's 100% better for the future of the club if they keep in touch with the club and spend money on streaming services (and maybe merchandise! Maybe tickets in the future!) Ipswich is a town where lots of people end up moving away when they get older. It benefits the club if you can keep those people engaged rather than have them drift away. For most people who stream home games, the alternative is just drifting away from the club and doing something else with their Saturdays. For sure the club would've got more money from me over the years if I'd been able to stream games when I lived far from Portman Road.

I can't tell if you are deliberately trolling, or you've just taken a real dislike of Frimmers. Fair enough the guy doesn't help himself, but with him supplying so many points to aim at, this seems a very low level one.

Even if it's £1 more its an incremental £1 than the club would receive otherwise. The only argument against iFollow is if it cannibalises ticket sales and stops people from going to watch games, then you could argue its not +£1 but actually -£19. As far as I know that isn't the case with Frimley, his choice is either watch on iFollow or don't go / watch at all, therefore they are incremental pennies into the club pot.

Yes on both your opening questions If the guy wants to openly troll himself with the title and opening post then he’s got it coming to him!
