We can't actually defend can we.
In terms of hanging on in there when the going gets tough, backs to the wall for 90 minutes, not continuously being sloppy at the back, being decisive, etc
We defend and keep all these clean sheets by having the ball, not because our defenders are actually proper big forearmed, hairy arsed men.
That's yet another completely avoidable goal we've given away and I'm starting to lose count this season.
Having said that....two great goals and generally pretty calm and composed apart from the goal and Harrison's early chance. |  | | |  |

We have conceded 13 goals in 15.5 matches.
EDIT: Compare that with Plymouth (top) 17 in 15.5; Wednesday 13 in 15; Bolton 10 in 14.5 but at the expense of only scoring 16. [Post edited 25 Oct 2022 20:52]

For the most part we defend well but I do agree - some of the goals we concede are horrendous.
Barnsley twice, morecambe, Lincoln and tonight. My theory is that the players are so good for this level that they sometimes go into auto pilot and switch off a bit.. That goal tonight was dreadful and fairly ridiculous to concede at that time too - as the guy says below, it was all but wrapped up. | | | |

That's nonsense and something only Roy Keane would endorse. The defence has been fine on the whole this season, a handful of blips that have been punished which other LG 1 teams probably have fared worse from. |  | | |

Any high balls into our box we struggle to deal with it effectively in my view. Yes teams don’t get much chance be used of our possession stats. But as soon as they get the chance snd out the ball in we don’t clear it effectively. We don’t have a defender in that first 11 that can header a ball well and clear it well. That goal was a bloody joke for defending . |  |

Agree. When teams press us we just crumble, partly because we just carry on trying to play triangles on the edge of our box instead of just clearing our lines, which we have to learn to do when necessary. [Post edited 26 Oct 2022 22:16]

Because most teams sit off. We don't concede many goals... but I agree when teams actually get at us.. we can not cope. Hence we had a run of either keeping cleansheets or conceding 2 goals.. |  |
