I voted a.n. other. Not really sure who, but wasn't keen on the other options.

Aaron Collins from Bristol Rovers looked decent when they played here, and seems to score a few.

....back to goal, bring others into play" type of forward?

I'm not sure.

(decent player though, deffo)

Clarke-Harris if possible in my opinion.

That big Argie bloke who barrelled his way through most of the Croatia team to score the second goal last night would do.

I didn't really see anything special in him at the weekend if I'm honest.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Looked a bit of a lump tbh. Obviously can finish, but looked less mobile than end of career Akinfenwa.

Any thoughts on a "We're top scorers in the league and doing just fine thank you" option?

Honestly can't remember exactly what his role was, but he was mobile, tidy on the ball, and worked hard off it. Seems a decent fit for our set up, based on the little I've seen.

Well that already puts him ahead of Piggott..

Haha. Fair point.

I was obviously exaggerating a bit, but I wasn't impressed with him at all on Saturday.

That said, he looked twice the player of Marriot, who looked miles off it.

I know there's a fair bit in the Evan Ferguson interest, so I've voted Premier League Wonderkid.

Interesting. Do you think there is a good chance we go back for Keane? Doesn't seem like that contract has been signed...

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Think ideally we'd want a more experienced number nine if we could get one. Does seem our weakest area at present.

If there’s a top quality player available that McK has identified (e.g. the Marcus Stewart signing by Burley), then obviously that would be fantastic!

If not I think we need a proven, experienced ‘fox on the box’, maybe at the end of their career on a short term deal. Maybe Jordan Rhoades? We have the enough fit young hungry players to run around doing the high press, it’s working away for away games. However the pattern seems to have emerged recently during the second halves of home matches where we’re battering teams, ball after ball into the box but nobody with the positional sense to finish off inside the 6 yard box! Such a player could be an option to come on after 60 mins and snuffle these chances, putting to bed these matches we dominate!

Edit. Beaten by Melford. Great minds.

No. Because we have lost JJ so he needs replaced and our bench options are not great. Our forwards may not be free scoring but they do a specific job in the team, Jackson pace and Ladapo hold up, and if we lose either the team will not function.
