From being so negative pre-Accrington Owlstalk has turned their attention to “who we should sign from L1 next season.” Morsy, Chaplin, Davis and “the lad who scored the free kick against us” are all discussed.

Another draw or defeat and they will go into meltdown again.

I really hope they finish in the play offs. I don't mind if they win them but it would be nice to see them humbled.

Oh, and Woolfie is “awful” apparently. Burns suggested “despite his antics”.

They are a weird bunch. They wouldn’t have the money to buy any of better players and doubt than any of those players wouldn’t have more interesting offers if we were prepared to sell them…if we don’t go up and if we do then maybe they can have a look at Harper or Pigott as options.

Not that I really care as long as Town go up, but dreadful sh1te from their fans at Hillsborough.

Town champs and Barnsley second, with Argyle playoff champs. If I had a wish to place.

This would also be my preference, although might swap Barnsley and Plymouth so Barnsley get a day out at Wembley.

All fanbases (including our own) have some proper divs who get a bit 'over-excited' at times like this and have issues with extreme mood swings but theirs would win the gold medal in the arrogant weirdos olympics. The ones who crop up on here every now and then seem alright tbf and they clearly have a few who roll their eyes at the behaviour of some of their other members.

The whole Burns thing was bizarre - they seemed to think their player getting banned for deliberately elbowing an opponent in the head was unfair and then were all over Burns' social media calling him a whole host of names and insults because they were too thick to understand why he'd been asked to provide a statement on the incident.

Aside from the online stuff, I'm a bit surprised they haven't been reprimanded more severely for chucking things at the linesman/opposition players which has happened on more than one occasion this season at Hillsborough. Very possible it influenced the result in our game at least.

Sections of the Plymouth fanbase seem to have got a bit more arrogant as the season's gone on - coming on here saying how we'd be fortunate to get a point at Derby etc. and you can't be giving your own manager a footballer's nickname (Schuey ) ffs.

I'd just like us to get up but if I had a choice it'd be funny if Wednesday missed out altogether.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I suspect a similar thread would've appeared on here had it been other way round.

Delusional. Even if they go up and we don’t, those players would be wayyyy out of their budget. Their model is experienced pros on sizeable wages but no transfer fees…they could have a look at Richard Keogh…

Just keep our concentration as McKenna say's on what we do. As long as we don't fall back into old habits on this six game run in and hand Wednesday a lifeline we should finish top two which is fine by me as I see us as a real force in the Championship. We can rightly reclaim our place as the "Pride of Anglia" The Budgies have chirped for too long whilst we have ploughed a loan furrow for 20 odd seasons.

If it had, i think we'd be scratching around to be honest, i dont think we'd be happy with signing many of theirs.

Have you looked at a map? Plymouth? They should be in the MLS.

Us, Barnsley, Wednesday and Bolton as a second choice if wither Yorkshire team miss out innit.

I seriously doubt they could have competed financially with us for these players when we signed them, let alone after their stellar seasons! In the unlikely event of us being a division below them next season, what are the chances they'd be able to offer the fees that would enable us to upgrade the squad? Some fans live on different planets don't they 😂

Even if they did go up and we didn’t, not sure any of our players would be signing for them. I know they are a “ big club” but Ipswich are a very attractive proposition for any footballer outside the premier league right now.

I'd be happy for Argyle to go up automatically with us as I think they're more likely to fluff the playoffs. Would be happy if Barnsley had a happy day out at Wembley.

I have no problem with Wednesday at all, I just prefer the other two.

The weird thing is that both the Argyle and Wednesday fans have this running narrative (even between themselves when they comment on each other's forums) that the Ipswich fans are the most arrogant and delusional fans in the league and they'd love to see us fail because of how our fans go on about us being a huge club and that we deserve to be higher.

None of this with any hint or irony - but then I guess you only see what you want to see.

Don't know where fans of any other club get's the idea that our fans believe we are a big club and deserve anything. I personally have always said that no club deserves to be anywhere in any league. No one has a divine right to be anywhere but where they are. We as a club have tread water now for around 20 seasons with the occasional glimpse of what could be. But due to many factors such as owners and the managers brought in by them we have flattered to deceive. How many seasons have we entered a new season full of hope and promises only to see them fade and players sold and lesser replacements brought in. Whole squads virtually shown the door. Been told there's money to spend and that only players that improve us will be brought in, only for old has-beens and players that are no better or worse than those we have or have departed brought in. The people that truly deserve a change of luck are the very supporters spoken about by fans of other clubs as being arrogant and believe we are better than we are or have been. Jealousy is a terrible thing, whether as an individual or as a group. Would I like to be a millionaire, you're damned right I would. Would I like to have a girl on my arm with legs right up to her pert behind and a flashy car or two in my gated driveway. Of course I would. But I don't expect I ever will and I don't begrudge those that have these things. We are lucky in that we have Gamechanger as our owners, we are not delusional in thinking that they have an ulterior motive in their purchase of ITFC. Which fans of any club wouldn't want to have owners that are prepared to put their money where their mouth is. We haven't changed as a rural club, except for the better. We love our Suffolk roots and have a passion worthy of any club. Please don't see us as arrogant, just proud of a club hopefully going places at long last.

Geographical preference there, Mullet. Understandable.

It’s Plymouth for me, with Pompey as play off winners after an outrageous late charge. Saints, B’mouth and Palace/West Ham to come down. Reading to survive.

That’ll be me sorted.

Yeah, but that doesn't help me so it's a no I'm afraid. Plus it's scientifically proven that the further south an away day, the worse it is.

MK Dons is blooming dreadful, I hope I never go there again. Forest Green was part game, part BBC nature documentary.

I guess Woolfenden, in spite of being an ever-present in a defence that didn't concede for 13 hours, does look a bit awful compared to their free-flowing Libero, Paolo Maldini.

Oh no, Aden Flint. Always get those two muddled up. Easy mistake to make.

I've not trawled through yet, but Morsy, Davis, Chaplin and Broadhead are all mentioned on the first page!! Has anyone from here signed up and told them they're deluded yet?

Are they aware we paid £1m+ for each of Davis and Broadhead? How much do they think they'd be able to get them for? FFS
