But I’d be over the moon if we went and got Armstrong from QPR. What a player he is, and is going to be!

Their left back was a real quality player too

Armstrong would be a coup of a signing. He will be in the PL in no time, with or without us.

We signed Ahadme after he was really good against us. Imagine bringing Sinclair on after 60/70 minutes against tiring defenders.

More significantly, I very much doubt QPR would sell, especially as they're pretty short of strikers.

But a very good young prospect, with a bit more development and fitness.

Apparently his contract is up Jun 30, 2024, so QPR might not have much of a choice to sell him on this window or next.

(They do have an option for 1 year, however)

I will be amazed if we get him. After his performances so far, I imagine the parachute sides or those with greater FFP headroom will be in for him.

I imagine QPR will take the option and then negotiate a new contract or sell next summer.

Seemed full of confidence, a powerful runner, strong, very quick, good on the ball. The thing that struck me was his acceleration, he's frighteningly fast over the first 10 yards. Rare commodities really, and looked every bit a player destined to play at a higher level. He looked the player we all wanted Simpson to be but with a far higher level of technical ability than he ever evidenced.

A deal that would be very difficult for us to do with the FFP constraints I imagine.

If QPR don't nail him down with a new contract ASAP, then they may as well all go home now.

Even if they are selling to the Prem, would secure the highest possible fee.

Yeah, he had so many qualities about him, that back heal that isolated about 5 of our players was a fantastic bit of skill.
One to watch that’s for sure.

Imagine him under KM coaching

I would imagine if they can take the extra year on his contract they will want to keep him for this season and work on the basis he could be worth very big money at the end.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Looks like some player, certainly gave our defence a hard time, couldn't cope with him. If he would be available I'd do what we can to secure his services. A lump sum plus Ladapo and Edwards may tempt them.

Seen some more measured views about Armstrong from QPR fans. They're excited about his potential, but circumspect about his stamina and technical ability being there just yet.

Only has 1 career goal.

Think Clarke and Woolfenden got in each other’s way - perhaps a degree of rustiness of not playing together for a while.

One of the new breed of Irish born African players. We have high hopes for him in the national team. I suspect he is aiming higher and QPR will get good money for him.

You are entitled to be an Irish citizen by birth if you fall into one of the categories below.

1. Born in Ireland before 1 January 2005

If you were born in Ireland before 1 January 2005, you are an Irish citizen by birth.

If you were born in Northern Ireland before 1 January 2005, you are entitled to claim Irish citizenship. This means that you can choose to be an Irish citizen and apply for an Irish passport if you want to.

2. Born in Ireland after 31 December 2004

The people of Ireland voted to change the constitutional right to citizenship in the 27th Amendment to the Irish Constitution. This ended the automatic entitlement to citizenship by birth to everyone born in Ireland.

If you are born on or after 1 January 2005, your entitlement to Irish citizenship depends on the nationality or residence history of your parent or parents.

We may need another referendum for the younger ones.

Obviously no idea of political reasons, but as things stand it is bad news for the future of Irish football team as would rule a lot of boys out who are currently making waves in the system so the tap will be turned off for this route
