Town / Norwich at Wembley - How would it work? 10:37 - Feb 19 with 6821 views | Aviator | If the unbelievable happened (and I would actually love to see it assuming we won). How on earth would they manage the logistics? Can you imagine!

That wouldn’t work, they would still need to run regular scheduled trains along the Norwich to London line.

Aye, they'd still go via the usual route. I imagine they'd have to run some 'specials' stopping at Norwich and Diss only through to Chelmsford and onwards.

Fair point. Norwich > Diss > Stratford > London Liv St it is then. I still don't think they make the playoffs to be fair. They seem heavily reliant on Sargent staying fit. I'd hate to be so reliant on the fitness/form of one player. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Town / Norwich at Wembley - How would it work? on 11:12 - Feb 19 with 4345 views | HighgateBlue | Surely there's no way we will finish lower than 4th, and Norwich ain't finishing 3rd. So it's really really not going to happen. Playing them in the semis is a possibility of course. And we owe them from the Berra match.

We finish 4th - they finish 6th - has a chance I guess I’ll be honest. I’m not bothered about norwich. In some ways - what a way to blast away the cobwebs Batter then 5-0 at Wembley :)

Town / Norwich at Wembley - How would it work? on 11:34 - Feb 19 with 4148 views | ArnieM | I for one, definitely wouldn’t want it to happen, simply because they hold some kind of bloody hoodoo over us. We are clearly a much better squad than them, yet we still managed to contrive not to beat them at PR. I couldn’t face the gloating on social media by their fans or indeed their biased, so called “regional”, news stations. To put that hoodoo to bed , we need to beat them at their place before any likelihood of play offs…but can we do it ?

I'd agree with that last paragraph. Beat them at CR in April and this 'hoodoo' is finished. Not sure they'd be as confident in a play-off tie with us if we can beat them prior.

I had the pleasure of bumping in to Ed Balls last week, and whilst he conceded that we’re having a stellar season, he also said that they’d beat us in the play-offs; I couldn’t disagree with him, annoyingly.

At this moment in time, we're not as good as Leeds. But we're infinitely better than Norwich.

I think this hoodoo always gets overplayed, obviously by them. We haven't beaten them for a long time, we know that, but they've only beaten us twice in the last seven encounters. Or twice in nine years, as they like to put more favourable stats to their claims. If we beat them at CR - then we can start claiming they haven't beaten us for over five years. It all changes pretty quickly!

You're joking? If not, where were your balls (no pun intended)? Surely you replied by telling him there is no way on earth that Naarich are going to make the play-offs!
Town / Norwich at Wembley - How would it work? on 11:56 - Feb 19 with 3958 views | Asa | Pretty nailed on isn't it? How often do we only play a team in the playoffs once (two legs of course). Incredibly we've played more in two separate seasons in the playoffs than once! We played Charlton in the playoffs, then faced them a few years later. We played Sheffield United. We played Bolton, then faced them again the following year. West Ham. Yep we then played them again. Now Norwich. Destined to face them again clearly. In fact (aside from Sheff Utd being sandwiched in between Charlton ties - I think), we've completed the set before moving on to anyone else. Bolton followed Bolton. Then West Ham before West Ham. Most recent one is Norwich so we have to complete that set apparently before we are allowed to face any other side!

I think we are a better team than them right now. Although I also think they are much better than there fans say they are. Josh Sargent is a super player. Even with that being said, I still wouldn't back us against them in the playoffs. Not a reflection of our current squad who are superb and I love. But we just seem cursed whenever we play them. We should've been about 5-0 up at HT in December but there is some sort of curse where we just cant do it. I'm convinced. We need to do some sort of reverse magic.

Each team gets 6/7 pubs allocated near Wembley. Groups of 8/10 police the whole way down wembley way ready to pile in if needs be

Fair point. | | | |
Town / Norwich at Wembley - How would it work? on 12:39 - Feb 19 with 3623 views | yorkshireblue | For the League One final last year, there were no specific trains put on to split the Wednesday and Barnsley fans, and each team had allocated pubs as happens at all domestic games at Wembley - split by who has the North side and who has the South... much to the Wednesday fans annoyance as the Barnsley fans had the 'better' and bigger pubs apparently. Something that will concern the police is if Leeds make the play-off final and Manchester United are in the FA Cup final the same weekend.

All it needs is one of us to sneak into CR & have a widdle at each corner of the ground. Anyone like to apply to be on the groundstaff, cleaning or catering temporarily? If this can't be managed, just saying that you've done the deed will suffice - photographic evidence not required (although welcome of course 😂).
