If we go up automatically... 09:31 - Apr 4 with 8528 viewsBondiBlue

...do we want norwich to win the playoffs? I haven't seen an east anglian derby in the prem since i was about 10.

No. They run out of parachute loot if they don’t go up this season. And that’s before a desire to never see them win anything ever again (though nabbing a draw off Leicester on Monday might have been useful)

No. I want them in this league or lower for a very long time.
Rub some of that smugness out.

If Leicester come up with a points deduction and financial embargo, plus Norwich come up with their sad state of "being Norwich City Football Club", we'd have a much better shot at staying up compared to Leeds and Southampton being the other two.

Inspired by SomethingBlue’s comment about us going up automatically and Norwich coming up through the play-offs…

What say you?

Would you want them to win the play-offs and join us in the Prem - the East Anglian Derby in the Premier League - potentially a once in a life time event (well twice for sure)

I couldn’t actively support them to win it obviously, but if it were to happen it wouldn’t be the end of the world. It would just be a bit of a sweetener where as usually it’s a disaster they’ve gone up.

Likewise if they were to lose the final it would be funny, and not the end of the world, always want them to do the worst they possibly can.

If they don't, I wonder if they may be in financial trouble. Maybe they'll need to have a fire sale to raise some funds to rebuild.

I’d like us and Leicester up in automatics, in that order, and then Coventry winning the playoffs (they seemed to have a good bunch of fans at PR)

Yes. What is the point of a rivalry if we almost never play each other?

Edit: Plus I don't want our Sky Sports "Derby" to be West Ham.

no. we've had 20 something years doing b*gger all in the championship and below, now it's their turn. spread the joy.

(and why is a harmless word like b*gger unacceptable)

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

But you do want Nodge to go up, pocket £105m and another 3 years of parachute money, and have another 2 'Premier League Participants' on their honours board.

Only if it was a guaranteed they go straight back down on the worst ever points tally, we hump them 10-0 home and away, and they drop down to non league football after that, never to be seen again!! .. so no.
