Now *this* signing would really be a dagger in the heart of Norwich fans.

I'm all in.

Didn’t Phil poo poo this a few weeks ago saying he was on absurd wages at Spurs?

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Really? I’d say he’s an upgrade on Luongo, but can’t say I’d be massively impressed with him. Not really sure what type of midfielder he is. Not got the physicality that I think we need in the middle next to Morsy, certainly hasn’t got the attacking numbers to make him player further up or as a box to box, so a little bit stumped on him.

Would take him on loan for a year whilst we get a European scouting networking set up, but wouldn’t want us spending decent money on him in fee and wages.

Just an opinion, before anyone bites my head off.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Not seen loads of him but always had the impression he’s more suited to a deep lying midfielder in a 3 rather than a 2. But as I say not seen huge amounts of him.

Bless his heart but he really is the oldest looking 23yo you could ever see.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Agree - an obvious target but looks bang average from what I’ve seen.

We need at least one big, powerful, strong running midfielder. If Skipp fits that bill and already has significant Premier League experience, then perhaps he's the one. Guess he won't come cheap though!

Hasn't he got a reputation for going down a bit too easily? We'll get him for free if we're not too proud to do a bit of Skipp diving.

Think it's about as good a CM we could possibly get at this level when look at experience levls, age, etc. Has had one season in the Champ for those who should not be named where as a teenager he basically played every game (44 starts) and was named in the team of the season as they won the league.

Has started knockout games in the CHampions League for Spurs, played over 100 times for them when they've been a consistent top 6 club in that period and 77 games in the PL.

As a level of player, it's a long way above what we have and really improves the squad - it's a massive upgrade on Luongo to play alongside Morsy.

Style wise is an aggressive ball winner and simple passer - wonder if we'd look for him to eb a bit more than that as may need a bit more box to box to cover Mass, but as a holding midfielder and with us sticking to preferring to sign English players (or players from English leagues) he must be the very high point of what we could attract

Totally agree. Does feel above our level though? I would assume he's on decent money at Spurs and if West Ham got £18m for Downes, you've got to be looking at £25m+ for Skipp? Really hard deal to do.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays at Spurs.

He's actually 18 months younger than Downes, and 2 school/academy years below him as well
