£15 million seems to be the going rate for most.

Not a Mummy. Don't have short arms.

Thats the standard price for attackers who are young and got higher ceilings.

Yes we did buy Greaves for that but he was the best centre back in our league last year.

Surely not £20m for a 25 year old.

My Sheffield United season ticket holding mate says he is a great Championship defender, but was found wanting in the Premier League. Thinks he is worth £10m tops.

(I’ll be very unhappy if this means Woolf is out though but)

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Reading the Sheffield United forum he's got an attitude problem so doesn't strike me as a McKenna type of player. Plus he was part of a defence which conceded over 100 goals in 38 games last season. Not sure what other options we have, though.

Mark Hudson worked with him last season so will know all about his character. And is also pretty well placed to know what a good centre half looks like.

Woolf, Tuanzebe and Edmunson.

At least 2 of which will do the trick imo. Im a little surprised by this one.

Think this may be where it's at. I asked about it yesterday as had heard a whisper that a bid had been accepted but was told not the case. Suspect talks ongoing, however.

He was ‘part’ of a poor defence not wholly responsible for it. Plus, the way they played last season practically invited other teams to walk through their midfield and attack at will.

Pretty sure both MA and KM have mentioned that only players who meet certain criteria will be signed. If he does indeed have an attitude problem, we wouldn’t sign him.

I've just spent the last 20 minutes watching videos of him, and he definitely passes the 'eye test.' He looks aggressive, plays on the front foot, and is VERY comfortable on the ball.

Based on what I've seen, and knowing that KMc and the team would have thoroughly vetted his character, it's a yes from me.

Are we thinking of the same Mark Hudson? A poor man's Chris Morgan in his playing days? Maybe he knows his stuff and was just unlucky to be the defensive coach for a team who shipped 100+ goals last season, but I'm not sure he should be seen as the Oracle.

I think this slightly stemmed from them rejecting numerous approaches from Napoli, as opposed to him generally having a bad attitude.

Given that he was made club captain, that suggests that on the whole, he's a pretty good leader.

Tell you what we wont lose many headers with him and Greaves at the back. Two absolute monsters.

Good for set pieces offensive and defensive.

That wasn't attitude though, it was entirely performance-related...

Either way, one thing we don't lack here is leadership.

This. Also it doesn't take an oracle to know what someone is like as a bloke.

Didn"t realise hudson would have worked with him. Good spot. I'm keen(er) for this one now.

That's true, and it seemed to help, temporarily at least.

I'm having a mind blank at the moment - who's our current vice captain? Luongo? I can't recall who stepped in when Morsy was suspended.
