I'm more interested to know why we didn't know this before when it's common knowledge he was out further best part of a year with an ACL. I'm sure we would have known this and that he would have had the best care possible, so it shouldn't be an issue.
However, players are rarely the same afterwards and he doesn't look to have had the same kind of impact last season as he'd had previously at Southampton. | | | |

If there's something in this then that's probably it. A player doesn't really 'pass' or 'fail' a medical (unless something potentially serious like a heart defect is discovered during the process and they have to stop for more/different medical attention), they just complete one and the club decides whether to proceed with the transfer (or alter the deal in some way) based on the results of it. |  |

Of course, a well repaired acl is generally stronger than the original, so long as there wasnt any long term collateral damage. | | | |
