Thought he’s looked quite bright at times. Difficult when half your team have just turned up with their boots to have a game with only a few days training. Where he turns in tight spaces to link up the play, the runs aren’t there. | | | |

Al Hamadi is making runs and Chaplin is playing little flicks. Need someone to hold the ball and use the wide players, maybe have the odd shot to keep the keeper on his toes | |

Problem there is the only option we have to do that off the bench is Delap, and I'm not sure we want to risk an injury to him or knacker him out right now.

Yes he finished with our highest xA today and our highest xG. He made good passes, through balls, was only dispossessed once, but he didn't find himself in those scoring positions at the edge of the box like he was once renowned for. There wasn't anyone getting to the by-line to make those cutbacks from memory. And if Chappers isn't having those moments then he's seen as a ghost by most on here. | | | |
