Cardiff 16:21 - Sep 18 with 2153 views | unbelievablue | I'm on a stag-do there this weekend and will have some spare time as most of them are playing golf on Friday. Any recommendations?

Cardiff on 16:42 - Sep 18 with 2059 views | stjohnsblue | I’m off there for the first time in a few weeks - had the following places recommended to by a mate who has just moved back from there - bacareto.co.uk curadobar.com/vermut bar44.co.uk tinyrebel.co.uk/bars/cardiff clwb.net No idea on daytime arts/culture stuff. Have fun!

Went there many moons ago to meet up with three Welsh nurses we had met on holiday. They painted eyeballs on their arses and flashed people passing by. Class. They are not lovers of the english so keep your wits about you. I saw more girls drinking pints than men. They would literally neck a pint and collapse. Strange place indeed. Great on rugby weekends though.

This is bad advice. Golf is terrible.

Cardiff on 18:25 - Sep 18 with 1703 views | bluelagos | You can caddy? But behave - I got asked to leave a course once (when caddying) for loudly laughing at my mate's sh1t shots. Apparently that's not the etiquette for golf w*nkers.

Cardiff on 18:28 - Sep 18 with 1684 views | Swansea_Blue | If you’re in the centre, in addition to just bumbling around cafes and bars, there’s: - the Castle and Castle gardens - Millennium Centre (arty stuff) - Principality Stadium tours. You can even do some nutty climbing thing up in the roof if you’ve got enough energy. Cardiff Bay is a nice place to hang out with lots of cafes, bars & restaurants. It’s a short hop from Cardiff central station. You can visit the Senedd (Welsh Parliament) and they normally have exhibitions on. Depends what you like really, but there’s quite a lot to keep most people happy. I always fancied having a go rafting in the white water centre that isn’t too far from Cardiff Bay, but that might be a bit much if the weekend had involved a lot of beer! PS. It’s great for shopping in the main central arcade, just in case you’ve been putting off buying something that’s hard to get where you live. [Post edited 18 Sep 2024 18:31]

Thanks, and thanks everyone else for your tips. Looks like it'll be wet and rubbish for most of it so pub will presumably be the order of the day. I'm going to Cardiff-Leeds tomorrow which should be a laugh.
