I feel the club should bump the ticket up by £1/£2 with the proceeds going to the foundation. Many wouldn't have an objection imo

In fairness, it's a bloody long trip and we've drawn them several times over the last few years as well as been in the same division pretty recently.

This kind of response fascinates me. How can a cup draw, that gives us a massive chance of progressing to the next round be "BORING". Granted it won't be a telly pick or get the juices flowing of a neutral - but that's a really strange response

I take four boring home ties in this year's FA Cup all day long to have our day at Wembley. Others may feel differently which is fair enough. But not me

I dont know, remember how Maidstone turned out, thing is we'll see all the Prem teams at home this season and they wont be sending a team full of reserves. typical though isnt it, theres a part of me that says with our squad at the moment we cant afford a cup run, but it might gel fringe players. we'll see

I know we have amazing history in the FA Cup but the reality is that this is immaterial to us with the stakes in the premier league. Bow out early like normal without being humiliated would be ideal. If we fancied an FA cup run it should have been anytime from 2003 to 2021.

On the other hand, it’s the first time in a long while that with the luck of the draw the team could actually win the thing.

I think that's naive. A big cup run would also be a huge distraction from the relegation run in, which must be our priority.

The FA might as they have a big say on FA Cup ticket pricing as there's, if I remember rightly, a 40/40/20 split with them getting the 20. I'm sure something might be put in place to raise money for Marcus's charity, though.

Bristol Rovers (n/t) on 23:24 - Dec 2 with 1703 views | quirkie | Should be a nice tie, straight on to round 4 and a nice cup run all the way to Wembley this year, semi finals if not the final. Alas, reality hits a 1-1 Draw and lose on penalties, a collective relieve for all concerned that we can focus solely on the league as per usual just a different excuse this season. Sigh. FA Cup, nah.

You're assuming a cup run would have a negative impact rather than a positive one. At a time when wins are scarce it could be that a run would help build a bit of confidence and feel good factor. If we beat Rovers we're in the last 32. Only take a couple of kinder draws and we could fine ourselves into the 1/4's.
