While it sounds harsh, if there was a 'worst' player for us against Chelsea, Greaves was it.

Agree that Davis was far from our standout player but I think you have to give Deeney some credit as he has played the game at the highest level and we haven't. Still, O'Shea (as mentioned elsewhere in this thread), Cajuste and Hutchinson all performed better, in my opinion. Deeney is pretty spot on about Delap though. |  |

Deeney's even lazier with it than Garth Crooks was.
Just looks at the results and picks players that scored, got a clean sheet, did something notable etc.
There was one a few weeks back he actually wrote for his reasoning that despite he himself not seeing the match, one of his mates did and said whichever player it was looked good so he included him ffs. |  |

Yes, some of the narrative was odd, but still nice to have some recognition.
Also, people are confused on this thread. He’s not saying that the 3 Town players were the best on the night for us. He’s saying those three were best in their respective positions. There would have been different competition in other positions. For example Hutch would have needed to be chosen ahead of Salah or Diaz.
