put simply - if its a post viral cough - there is no cure - just time - i used a combination of Cavonia (dry cough one) and throat spray (meant for tonsillitis but tricks a dry throat into not coughing for a bit). Anything to lubricate your airway will help - steam, honey lemon and ginger etc but it will just take time | | | |

Not surefire, but liquorice in either sweet, root or tea form might help. It’s my first go-to measure for calming a cough and also soothing a throat.Those with heart, kidney or high blood pressure issues should swerve it tho.
Turmeric and ginger tea might also ease the cough and help boost your immune system for a longer term benefit. [Post edited 17 Feb 19:35]

Not sure if you would include this in homeopathics (I don't think it is myself) but I find ecchinacea reduces the length and severity (maybe it's psychosomatic but if it works I am still happy!)
Keeping physically fit and drinking plenty of water (I add lemon juice and stick sliced orange in it too). Jakemans black throat sweets help with clearing the phlegm. |  |
