No I can’t blame Kier Starmer Although he did say he thought his beloved Arsenal would win the Champions league so another lie there. Funny how he supports a team that just can’t win anything 😂😂😂
350 tickets still available on 09:22 - May 10 with 2158 views | waveneyblue | This fanbase is bizarre. It's a end of season dead rubber. We're relegated and have sadly been pretty dreadful at home. Why do people feel the necessity to point out it's not sold out?? It would probably more surprising if it was.

350 tickets still available on 10:08 - May 10 with 1841 views | Churchman | Not really. It’s a meaningless game. The spring is here, everybody has competing commitments. I’ll be going because I have a ticket, I’m in Suffolk anyway this weekend, have three hours spare so why not. But I can’t say I’m looking forward to it. I just know that two weeks after the season ends I’ll miss the football and look forward to August. Each to their own. I’ve always said that ITFC has about 20k base support. The remainder are Johnny come latelys, floating/casual/take it or leave it, toys out of the pram if we have bad results supporters. That sounds gloomy, but remember ten years ago base support was 15k under MM and down to about 8k during the Duncan/early Lyall years so the numbers are growing. This is why the club needs to do everything it can to attract young people to the ground. Ancients like me come very much second as far as I’m concerned. That’s why community, facilities, free tickets, schools etc is so important. It is how you build true support and then justify increase stadium capacity. I would rebuild East Stand ASAP, but for reduction in poor views, better seating and facilities and the old stand is decrepit. Take the capacity up to about 33k which is enough for our needs. Whether it’d work revenue wise, I’m not so sure.

To put this into context, the great Derby team of 2007/08 which amassed 11 points in the whole season, managed 3 points at home between January and March. It's now 10 May and to have failed to get a single home point this calendar year is a truly remarkable run. I think it's 7 straight home league losses now. And we've had Southampton and Wolves in that time, so we can't grumble about fixtures. I suppose injuries and the old chestnut of corruption have to be the explanation.

Absolutely this. It’s a beautiful day here in Ilkley, so what should I do? Spend 8 hours in a car for game that is little more than a glorified friendly or enjoy the sun? My ticket and my sons’ are on resale.
350 tickets still available on 10:57 - May 10 with 1591 views | SWLondonBlue93 | Speaking as a non-ST member - I've been to eight or nine home games this season already (as is the case most seasons, regardless of the division), travelling from my home to Ipswich is expensive and time-consuming, the game is a dead rubber and it's a beautiful day to boot. Forgive me if the last few games of the season don't interest me much.

Totally agree about the core support - but the potential catchment area is huge. The surrounding counties are a footballing wasteland (including the one to the North). Just need a little sustained success to tap into it (as you say we’ve had near 2 decades of mediocrity. That said the last 2/3 years you now see people in Town shirts all over Essex, which hasn’t been the case for a while.

Agreed. We need to tap into the opportunity we have with that potential catchment area. I hope the owners are serious about it and still see the potential because it’s there. I’ve used resale for three games (hols) and I must say that when I could find the system, it worked well.
