I've not seen any footage but if a Birmingham fan has run onto the pitch and tried to punch a player that surely must mean big trouble for Birmingham City not just the fan? Games behind closed doors perhaps?

That's not what happened. Chappers smashed the ball into the crowd (probably by mistake), the Brum players took exception, a rolling maul was formed and ended up by the hoardings where some bloke decided he'd help out humanity by getting himself banned from football.

He was pitch side just behind the goal line, which I think counts as the field of play for these things. Should be a very long ban incoming with a bit of luck. I’m more worried about Chappers missing an empty goal from 10 yards out lol

I was at the 95 opener where we had come down and they had come up - they won 3-1 and the fans were still angry!
