An era has ended… on 07:24 - Sep 2 with 251 views | GlasgowBlue | Yep. Although I wonder if fans of Forest, Brentford , Bournemouth etc felt this empty when they replaced fan favourites with more expensive signings? I said the day after promotion that we will never have a feeling like this again. We did it with mostly League One players against the odds. Now the expectations are so high. But it is what it is. Time to get behind this new group of players.

An era has ended… on 07:53 - Sep 2 with 134 views | boroughblue | Agreed, and I agree with everything being said regarding needing to move them on to sign the new quality players. But the sentimental side of me is really hurting and upset. Woke up in a bad mood and genuinely lost sleep over it last night. God, football really does make you feel pathetic for getting so wound up sometimes doesn’t it 😂
An era has ended… on 07:57 - Sep 2 with 113 views | Metal_Hacker | I have little issue with losing those players and will be eternally grateful for their efforts and the euphoria given to the fans over those two seasons but things evolve My only worry is that there doesn't seem to be a great deal of evolution in a good sense just yet . Small time frame I admit and only four games but .....some green shoots will be nice with certain individual players please Perhaps with the departures it'll give the "new " bunch time and room to shine themselves and not forever in the shadows of the "legends"

I said this the day of promotion. I remember feeling a tinge of sadness whilst working my way through crates of beer outside Curve bar that afternoon realising it’ll never be this good ever again.

The only time Ipswich town fc are ever successful is when we have a team of weirdos rejects youth players and the odd high profile signing, all coached to within an inch of their lives and with amazing esprit de corps. Now we have a squad full of expensive glamorous signings. Will we buck the historical trend?
