When the Levy news breaks on 19:03 - Sep 4 by itfcsuth
Unpopular as it may be, he’s a fantastic operator in the sports/business executive role, one of the best in the world.
On the non playing side yeah, but football side whilst he would drive a hard bargain managerial appointments were muddled play style wise, he left signings until the last moment looking for bargains and Spurs had a real opportunity under Poch and they didn’t back him until it was too late.

Mean old Levy taught the Tottenham fans to weep and moan, oh.
Uh. That’s not something I was expecting to see any time soon. They’ve made a lot of mistakes over the last few/many years. I thought they weren’t a good place now though. They’re my dark horses to do well this year and have started unsurprisingly well under Frank.

I’m not so sure, a lot his managerial appointments, at the time you could argue cases for, I’ve always thought the club has been financially back in the market, whilst still developing the best stadium in the world, and generating a profit base for the clubs long term sustainability.
I think in terms of his remit, he’s been a fantastic operator, will probably be appreciated more as time passes.

Could this be a BCWYWF moment?
I think so. He's turned them into an absolute financial juggernaut. I know they aren't winning the league every year(or any year) but from a pure business standpoint, he's done an exceptional job.

He may well have turned out to have left them with the best manager theyve had in a while. Had to remember too they nearly won the league the year Leicester did but bottled it.
The Beeb reckon he was sacked as part of restructuring the board in hopes of becoming more competitive. I'd be interested to know how much of a say he had in the funds being available for players considering his involvement with Enic.
I appreciate that he has done incredible work from a business perspective, but was the point of that not to then allow Tottenham to invest the kinds of funds that the top 4 have? Add in a pretty poor record of taking previously successful managers on that have crashed and burned and things don't really add up.
