| Ashton still here on 18:35 - Jun 10 with 2854 views | FlittonBlue | Well he made a complete horlicks of the last managerial appointment so its hard to hold out much hope this time - will probably end up with Pep or someone shite like that | |

We need continuity and some stability - losing CEO and Coach in a few months wouldn’t have been an absolute hammer blow. MA, regardless of my personal feeling, has shown himself to be highly competent on the football side as well as thorough and diligent. So I’m somewhat confident he will have ducks in a row in terms of replacement and I for one and glad he’s still around with hindsight.
| Ashton still here on 18:43 - Jun 10 with 2605 views | darkhorse28 | Pretty obvious McKenna has a bad back carrying Ashton FC all this time. Can’t blame him. If this isn’t a wake up call the owners on giving Mark exclusive keys tonight the castle, nothing is. No way will an elite manager work for Mark and his EFL mindset, and his talent ID spreadsheet of famous WBA players. Ashton OUT | | | |

Not sure he was at Hull. Some of the loopy stuff he came out with since then has put me right off him though.

| Ashton still here on 19:00 - Jun 10 with 2339 views | ITFCSG | I don't think it was a split of the moment decision, MA would probably have known the McK was going at the end of the season, probably after promotion but the club kept it under wraps. Not sure of the real reason though, plenty of rumours flying around - was McK just exhausted after the gruelling season? Did McK have a look at the budget, recruitment etc for next season and felt it wasn't enough to stay up and quit because he didn't want 2 relegations on his CV? Or did he fall out with Ashton and his management style/Faragegate? | | | |

Not before us he hadn't, McKenna seems to be the anomaly in his career. The other manager he actually boast about is Lee Johnson! So we should be very concerned.

Unless of course it transpires that was the root cause of him leaving!

That does seem to be the sum of it doesn’t it! Though personally I wouldn’t see Frank as a downgrade. O’Niel seems to have done a really good job at Strasbourg this season. And whose to say Rosenoir hasn’t learnt a lot in the last year?

To me it seems odd that KM has left without going to a different club. Don’t believe it’s just for time out of football, and knowing Ashton’s narcissistic tendencies I wouldn’t be surprised it’s the reason he’s left. Did read on another thread this morning that someone hear had heard he’s off because of a fall out with Ashton so maybe there’s some truth in that (not that we will ever find out with MA still in charge)

'The club needs to move and act as one in this final push, oh and can I introduce you to Nige!' Yeah no way that's leaving a bad taste in your mouth. Edit...can you point me to that thread? [Post edited 10 Jun 19:58]

MA is probably more important to us anyway given he’s here for the long haul. KM was going to leave us at some point in the not too distant future regardless.

Anyone can claim anything on the internet. A few on here will happily run with anything anti Ashton.
