Just lost the vote for a recess in order to have the Tory Conference.

Bless.

It's a bit early for Sam Allardyce but I wouldn't be surprised.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

At this point he wont get support for anything, except some of the cross party bills like Animal Cruelty sentencing and Domestic Abuse. I fear even if he comes back with the most amazing withdrawal deal possible he's cooked his goose.

Yeah that's true. Johnson is keen on Domestic Abuse so that'll be fine.

Pronouns: He/Him/His. "Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

seems a bit cheap not to allow the Tories to have their conference.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

I must monitor my political language now, though abuse could be said to be quite an apt word for the leader of the Conservative part.

In that case there's no point the Tories being in parliament.
So they can happily go off to wherever it is and leave the opposition to rule for 3 days.

There is hope that Mr Ian Blackford might be seen as a tantalising choice for deputy PM in an opposition led government. May it be longer than 3 days one hopes.

That's the suggestion - that whilst the tories are at conference, there might be a move for backbenchers to take control of proceedings on one of the days in question.

No more apathy than usual as that is par for the course in many businesses, Managers create the mess, minions clean it up

In this case it's like going to your rival business and asking them to tidy it up, free of charge, but you keep the client contract.

I don't know many businesses who will willingly help their competition not destroy itself.

But NAUGHTY LABOUR for not helping the ruling party out of a mess of their own doing, or something.

I am not in a position to really comment on the Labour party at present, too busy getting my accommodation and travel sorted for our conference in October.

Come on, you'd be much better off completely distancing yourself from them at this point than ending up with a stain against you that'll never wash off. It's a mistake many will make but I'm sure you can be better than that. Get on the right side of history before it's too late.

That’s a rubbish analogy, but I agree with the overall point

Fairly sure it’s standard practice to agree these things, but the Tories only have themselves to blame given the prorogation shambles, quite obviously

Perhaps "A naughty kid who plays up all week and then expects to not get grounded and go to Disneyland" would work better?

Not in any way is it cheap.

It is a result of Prorogation.

All parties may have voted to not have a recess.

The Government denied them that opportunity.
