Really what is the point.

Just lost the ball a bit back and tried half ar5ed to win it back hanging a leg in.

His touch is awful , his control goes further than I can drop kick a ball

I’ve tried and tried with him but ....I think I’ve reached the end

His deficiencies are forgivable when he's getting in behind and chipping in with goals, but when he's not offering that he's a liability.

He had a really good spell earlier in the season where he was starting to look a player again

Where did it go wrong? Is it a confidence this?

Did Lambert go through a phase of playing him at right back or did I imagine that?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I used to put his lack of first touch down to our pitch when out wide but the more I watch him the more he frustrates me. Awful player but as you say he’ll chip in with the odd goal. Smoke and mirrors innit

He has been absolute toss so far today.

Never known a player where so many people see 1 game in 30 as his standard and the other 29 are seen as a dip in form

Quite bizarre

He needs to give you 15 goals a season to compensate for his lack of ability at doing anything else, imo. He got 5 in our first 10 or so but since his injury he's been completely hopeless.

He's never been the best footballer, but normally he's an outlet and a willing runner which goes some way to justifying his existence. Today he just doesn't look overly interested, which is concerning.

I would be half tempted to bring Skuse in the middle to get a foot on the ball and let Bishop tear up the right.

Never rated him, far too many saw that flick over his head in that first game v Blackburn and convinced themselves he was a good player. Average League 1 player at best

We’ll see Dobra or Jackson for him at some point unless he has a good first 15 in the second half. His confidence has gone in those one on ones. He used to wiggle past a few players when you thought he couldn’t but he seems unwilling to try anything at the moment.

Best ball in the box has come from Teddy swinging a right boot from deep.

Not been the same since getting injured. He was generally good before that.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I agree, today is how he has looked for about 95% of his games with us.

He had a very good game at Blackpool this season where everything he touched turned to gold for so far today he has looked, for me, exactly like he usually looks.

Imagine where would be now without Edwards' form at the beginning of the season.

Average L1 today should probably give Wigan something to think about.

is there one player whos touch is any good. awful close control by most of them. the ball always seem to bounce a couple of yards from them, when they try to control it.

forensic experts say footers and spruces fingerprints were not found at the scene after the weekends rows

The entire attacking midfield are terrible and are consistently the worst part of the side. It's not even just the final ball, it's all the times we don't even get to attempt a final ball because of a sloppy, unforced turnover, it's the complete inability to keep the ball under the most modest pressure.

Christ, it's why I find myself defending even the chronically wasteful Bennetts on here. I'd rather him spooning his crosses into the stands than Edwards mis-controlling the ball on the half way line.

We would be 17th-18th in the table without his early days' contribution. This mob of so called professional players is shocking.

All the 'front' 3 behind Norwood have been toss today. Not hard to see where we need new faces if we want to improve.

Indeed. We've got about 9 players who can play those roles but not one of them is contributing anything. Judge has been really poor, Sears mainly anonymous, Edwards shocking. Nobody else has done any better when given a chance though.

1 in 30 is an exaggeration but I don't disagree with the sentiment

When a player is capable of a run like he had, I'd be looking at it and asking what needs to be done to make it a more regular thing

Good players are consistent, sadly we lack just about any of those, which is why we are midtable in such a poor league

Systems and tactics do play a part for sure and we know things went South under Lambert as the season wore on
