We're now accumulating something more like a higher-end Champ backroom setup. We wanted a better structure, now we're getting it.
Most top-level sports have long gone with specific coaches for particular disciplines (e.g. defence, attack) as well as the overall strategists, plus analysts and other personnel with particular skills. Much like the military in the 20th century, they are realising that without all the support staff, the front line troops are not effective.

Agreed. I'm a little confused about a few peoples stance of 'what are we doing with all these coaches?!?!?!'
Any decent set up has more than just an assistant, coach and GK coach. The reason why we've had that is because we've been run like a League 1 club for god knows how long.
That being said, I'm still curious as to who will be assistant.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
Each kitman has his own secret washing powder/fabric softener recipe, closely guarded.
But the question is: do we go for a bio or non-bio type of guy?
My sources tell me that our very own Cleaner has had two interviews for the role and is about to have a third. I fear he will want to push the scope of the role too far beyond just cleaning kit however, and that ultimately a less ambitious candidate will get the nod.

Cleaner doesn't strike me as the genocidal type but if he goes that far, then he clearly isn't suited to the job.

If we're really serious about being a professional outfit, then surely Barry Scott should be given the gig.
