Has anyone on here heard that we’ve offered QPR £2.5 million for him prior to January transfer window as a “take it or leave it “ arrangement.

Serious statement of intent if true

"if true" is the most important part of your post.

He's not worth that, I wouldn't want us to be paying that much. £1.5m max.

That’d be too much by a considerable way - although I do think it’s one the owners will want to be seen to get done, and I expect they will.

Can't see it

Don't forget in any fee you'd as the buying club would point out the ipswich effect with Bonne. Would he do what he does for any other side..... questionable as he himself said he gives 10% more for town.

Now you mention it, I do think I saw something along these lines on the internet at some stage today.

Heard this week from a source (in-named) that he’s going back in January to be sold to a Championship club, like most of you I’m hoping it’s untrue especially as we’re going to offload Norwood and Jackson

Take from it what you want, 2 weeks ago I would have said it’s nailed on we would already have an arrangement in place.

Seems a stretch.

I like Bonne, but wouldn’t go anything above £1m for him.

Even if Bonne goes back, we should still be off loading Norwood & Jackson. Norwood doesn't deserve our loyalty and Jackson is just cr@p. Hopefully a deal can be done, but if not, I am sure Cook will have his eye on someone else.

Oldboy Correction, Jackson couldn't hit a barn door with a Jambo.

Although undisclosed it is believed we paid Charlton a smidgeon under £2 million, I would have thought we wouldn’t let him leave without making a profit especially how he has performed this season.

Isn't it a 3 way loan recall agreement? Has to be agreed by QPR, Ipswich and Bonne himself?

I did speak to someone who knows the Bonne family and they reckon the deal is already done. Some crazy figures being banded about though so I am a little sceptical.

If I was MB and had a say in this, I would look to structure and agreement now, but for a perm transfer at the end of the season 'if' we can promoted. I know he loves the club but can't see him wanting to be here next year if we are still in L1

Either way, I really do hope he is here until at least the end of the current season

Too high... and I don't think anyone just says “take it or leave it" at the first point of negotiation.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I can't imagine it'll cost anything like that to get him here - somewhere arounf half is more realistic for a 26 year old striker in League 1

The made up fee is quite a bit more than QPR paid for him, I can't imagine they'll make a huge profit on a player they've deemed not good enough for them who isn't at an age where there's huge resale potential in future. I think somewhere around a million looks more realistic.
