Anti-Vaxxers absolutely feast on 'research' and stories about Covid vaccines increasing heart inflammation (myocarditis)... its a feeding frenzy. Now they are jumping on what seems an increase in footballer heart issues.
An existing and significant anti-vax narrative is the number of footballers refusing jabs, as a proof point of their risk.
A few weeks back, an unreviewed and debunked paper on vaccine to myocarditis linkages was posted on the American Heart Foundations web-site.. and became a statement of fact. However strenuously the foundation refuted the paper's efficacy. Indeed Piers Corbyn and his mob were seen berating Chris Witty this week as they stormed a lecture he was providing.
Israeli studies are often used. But see below extract, which challenges concerns. But this is not going away.
"Some of the largest studies of myocarditis and the vaccine have been carried out in Israel, where the vast majority of the population have had the Pfizer vaccine. In one study of 5 million people, researchers identified 136 cases of myocarditis reported within one month of having a Pfizer vaccine, mostly in young men. Of these, 95% were mild, but one person died.
Overall, fully vaccinated people were about twice as likely to be diagnosed with myocarditis, compared with people who hadn’t been vaccinated. That compares with another study from Israel which found that in adults over 18, getting Covid-19 increases risk of myocarditis by 18 times — a far bigger increase in risk than from the vaccine. But in young men specifically, who are more at risk of myocarditis linked to the vaccine, this difference in risk may be smaller.
Another study of 2.5 million people aged over 16 in Israel found that 2 out of every 100,000 people who received at least one Pfizer jab developed myocarditis. This increased to almost 11 out of 100,000 among men aged 16—29. Overall, 76% of the cases of myocarditis were mild, and 22% were moderate, which suggests that only around 2 in a million young men developed serious myocarditis.
It’s important to remember that the overall risk is still low, and that the vast majority of cases of myocarditis were mild. People who are vaccinated also have a much lower risk of getting other serious complications caused by Covid-19."
Conclusion from this research is that young males infected with the virus are up 6 times more likely to develop myocarditis as those who have received the vaccine.
to see if there is an actual increase in coronary incidents involving footballers, or if it is merely an impression of an increase caused by more prominent reporting and greater awareness?
Secondly, if it is real, what kind of numbers and percentages are we looking at (i.e. how common is it in relation to the total number of footballers).
Is there any correlation with when those suffering were vaccinated (and, indeed, if they had been)? Had they recently been jabbed, or was it some time before?

This is obviously why they artificially engineered the 'buy all the things early' ruse. It isn't called the pandemic for nothing.

That’s what I find so bizarre about the lunatic fringe of the anti-CV, anti-Vax, anti-Lockdown agenda.
The elites gain NOTHING from Covid and it’s restrictions….
… but HANG ON… maybe they’ve all bought shares in Pfizer?

The conspiracies make no sense. However, they don't need to make any sense. If their followers used reason, the conspiracies would have been thoroughly debunked long ago.

A major conspiracy? Or just the usual handful of mouth-breathing simpletons frothing like lunatics? Speaking of, Matt LeTissier on twitter is quite the read. Football genius but alas a complete anti vax loon

Could also add, how many of them had previously had covid? It's said that you are x times more likely to suffer from heart problems due to covid than due to the vaccine. So 'if' there has been an increase in sportsmen having heart issues maybe it's because of covid and having the vaccine could help reduce those numbers - bet the anti-vaxxers would become strangely quiet if that turned out to be the case.

Here's the thing Stabers. The Anti-Vac movement itself is an Estbalishment Conspiracy. Big Pharma make Some Money, but not Big Money from vaccines. So, if they can establish a happy medium whereby they can sell vaccines AND make money sell antivirals, etc, etc then life is gravy.
Hence the antiivaxx movement.
It's a matter of record that Andrew Wakefield, the father of the movement had funding and interest from ALL the big boys.
Basically, if you're an anti-vaxxer, you're a Big Pharma shill.
