Time and place. Usually I would have no issue but when his mother has just died it's not necessary IMO.

In a couple of weeks he's fair game but this achieves nothing IMO.

To be honest I find turning up to watch this coffin procession, and heckling Prince Andrew, equally strange.

See your point but events like this are the only time he crawls out of the woodwork.

He rarely appears in public now so hecklers have to take their opportunities whenever they can!

I defend your right to free speach, just not when someone's mother has recently died, then you have no right to free speach.

Got it.

And no, I wouldn't heckle someone in a similar circumstance, but I absolutely defend his right to do so. Offending people is not a crime, nor should it be. You either believe in the right to protest or you don't.

There were no games to mark the death of HM The Queen.

Nothing at all to do with her sex pest son.

Not when he, and the rest of his family, is walking behind his Mum's dead body.

The crowd did a good job of shouting over him but I'm surprised and disappointed no one rugby tackled him.

Not many, if any, condone his behaviour but come on, his mum has just died.

Do other people who have done bad things get shouted at at their families funeral (I know it isn't the Queen's yet).

I think ther eis a time and a place and this isn't it.

Arch republican here. I couldn't care less that the Queen has died and think that her legacy is one of abusing privilege to increase her own wealth and power. Frankly, I've found the blind worship of the Queen this week to be quite disturbing.

That she used her power and wealth to spare her (alleged) paedo son from court is a travesty of justice.

Even I stop short of thinking its appropriate to heckle someone following their mother's coffin.

To be fair, Andrew isn't out in public a lot anymore so there is little chance to heckle him should you so wish.

Seeing Andrew there all week makes me very uncomfortable. A cynic might say alongside a family who have played their part in defending him and thus making it perfectly reasonable for the Heckler to do what he did.

Sigh.

No huge desire to be 'that guy' or to defend Prince Andrew but I tire of all the disinformation.

There is no evidence that the man is a 'nonce' or a 'pedo'.

He has been accused of sexual assault. The age gap with the claimant is a legal issue in certain US states but would not be so here. Even if proved true (and the allegation has not been tested in court), 17 years is not pedophilia territory. It's creepy, sure, and I'd like to see a trial and book thrown if proven, but throwing around nonce and pedo is a little off IMO. The accuser seems satisfied with her big pay day so that's probably the end of the story.

That's all.

We can only control our own actions. For me, I disagree with his choice. If he comes to a different conclusion and thinks it is appropriate then he has the right to do so.

No apology necessary x

Exactly. I am a republican & no fan of Andrew. He appeared in my office some years ago & came over as an entitled, arrogant moron.
As the poster says, from all the facts he appears to have behaved badly, but committed no offence under UK law so to call him a "paedo" or "nonce" is absurd.

Is sexual predator ok?
He’s lied his way through interviews and is now clearly trying to weasel his way into public life. His family response has been to throw money at the accusers without acknowledging the pain and damage he and his mates have done.

Shame on anyone who applauds him and shame on any charity or organisation who accept his patronage or visit.
