Apologies if this has already been discussed - but I’ll be interested to know what TWTD thinks of Joe Lycett demanding that Beckham gives up his £10 million which he got for promoting Qatar?
I think that Joe Lycett has a point and I would be surprised if Beckham’s reputation has stayed undamaged amongst the LGBTQ community - or indeed outside it as well.
Not sure if Lycett comes across as a tad clumsy in his approach but I fully understand his sentiment and anger towards Beckham.

I think it's a good message, whichever way you look at it, and does a fantastic job of highlighting the hypocrisy of the likes of Beckham, Neville, et al.
As far as the shredding money is concerned, I'd rather hope that he ends up shredding £10k of fake money and quietly donates the real £10k to a suitable charity/charities, but it's his money at the end of the day. |  |

As meanspirited as this might come across, the fact we have CIN at all is pretty horrendous isn't it? Let alone the optics of how they present some kids and tropes around child poverty etc whilst tax-dubious "celebrities" coerce money out of people.
It sits really uncomfortably with me that we end up almost absolving the government from the responsibility etc.
I find Lycett quite funny of late, but he's never going to get his message across eloquently and precisely when it is meant to be satirical and scathing either. |  |

But it is a brilliant and humoured way to call out people of influence supporting a regime that is way of touch, and must be called to account
