So. This 6 game form table. We re 9th... on 14:26 - Dec 19 by BigCommon
We're joint top scorers over those 6 games..??? And yet, we supposedly have a goal scoring problem?... Plymouth 10th on form, sit top of the league...
Which suggests Derby, Barnsley & Bolton are closing the gap. None of those teams are out of the race for an automatic place just needs 2 of the front 3 to slip, and us and Plymouth are currently in the slide.

What is the point of this post?
Has any team stayed top of the form table for an entire season?
Well the point is the form table as I mentioned in the OP, was used by a poster and others to belittle anyone who dared shared their concerns with certain elements of the side and its football.
So just curious. As we've dropped to 9th in that same table.. do those concerns become accepted. Or do we now say all form tables are pointless and we just accept the current league table in all its glory so any previous form posts are null and void.

Barnsley are a big concern imo.
Depends how quick we can get a winning run going.
Yes we've only lost 3. Which is great.. but equally the number of draws we are having has slowed us down somewhat.

Draws that largely came from us being in winning positions.
I don't know why people go at you so much Frimmers.
Anti negativity police Rob. Lol.
Tbf some are living their best days as a town supporter right now so they don't want any negatives. That's fine. But I do make it clear how I post in my signature so tbh its baffling why some still seem surprised.
It's not great but it's not like we're six points from where we need to be. I think we were level with Barnsley so all that has happened is they've won a game which has replaced a loss in the 6 game form table and we've lost one which has replaced a win in the 6 game form table.
So you are kind of reacting to one single game which has led to two teams who were on 12 points being on 15 and 9 and creating this gap.

Advertising and promoting your fickleness is at least honest, I suppose
Funny how reactionary some of our supporters are, yeah.
I personally don't see any value in taking an arbitrary cut of 6 games, it's meaningless, and you will find I've always been consistent in that. It's not a big enough sample size and doesn't give enough context to injuries, quality of the opposition faced etc. We have to keep some perspective, the fact is we're averaging over 2 ppg so far this season which has us on track for 94 points. almost certainly enough for 2nd place. We will lose games, we'll draw games too, but I don't see any reasons to believe we can't have a 2nd half of the season at least on a par with the 1st. We have a few key players coming back from injury and a transfer window in which to strengthen. I think Saturday's performance looked a little leggy, we've been light in numbers and perhaps that's starting to show through a little of late. I personally think we'll pick up as the season goes on though.
It's interesting, if you go back a decade or so, Southampton finished 2nd in L1 with 92 points. They themselves had a dip in form between mid November - mid December, they picked up 4 points from 4 games. Coincidentally, the only win in that period was a home to Peterborough. After Christmas they won 4 on the bounce and finished the season especially strong. It was probably that momentum that took them into the Championship with such confidence to achieve back to back promotions and into the Premier League.

Big picture mate.
Yeah, but where's the hot take in that?
I genuinely don't know why he's persisting with this. Most of us would be quite happy to forget about the fact that we once shat ourselves massively in public rather than trying to build our personality around it.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Don't think youve understood the post tbh BB. Its more aimed at posters like you rather than sharing a hot take as you call it.

Frimmers gonna frimmers.
I dare say his point is last week, the form table was what people were pointing to and this week, strangely, it’s the actual table. Can’t imagine why.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
