I'm not sure that this whole thing here is the devious piece of nuanced meta-trolling you think it is.

So. This 6 game form table. We re 9th... on 15:48 - Dec 19 by clive_baker | Funny how reactionary some of our supporters are, yeah. I personally don't see any value in taking an arbitrary cut of 6 games, it's meaningless, and you will find I've always been consistent in that. It's not a big enough sample size and doesn't give enough context to injuries, quality of the opposition faced etc. We have to keep some perspective, the fact is we're averaging over 2 ppg so far this season which has us on track for 94 points. almost certainly enough for 2nd place. We will lose games, we'll draw games too, but I don't see any reasons to believe we can't have a 2nd half of the season at least on a par with the 1st. We have a few key players coming back from injury and a transfer window in which to strengthen. I think Saturday's performance looked a little leggy, we've been light in numbers and perhaps that's starting to show through a little of late. I personally think we'll pick up as the season goes on though. It's interesting, if you go back a decade or so, Southampton finished 2nd in L1 with 92 points. They themselves had a dip in form between mid November - mid December, they picked up 4 points from 4 games. Coincidentally, the only win in that period was a home to Peterborough. After Christmas they won 4 on the bounce and finished the season especially strong. It was probably that momentum that took them into the Championship with such confidence to achieve back to back promotions and into the Premier League. |
Shut up with your perspective and facts, and most of all your enervating positivity.

Tbf some are living their best days as a town supporter right now so they don't want any negatives. That's fine. But I do make it clear how I post in my signature so tbh its baffling why some still seem surprised. |
Either you enjoy these trolling type posts , or you just don’t realise that all your posts are aimed at finding fault with the club. It seems to me that the McKenna interview post has left a scar on you.

See there's the thing. The KM interview post is on your minds. Not mine. Its gone. Done. Its a year old. I've also posted many positive posts. Funnily enough they get ignored. But.. bring up a discussion about a negative aspect... boom year old post comes up. Trolling comes up etc etc. If anything the scar you speak of is left on yourselves not me. BTW. I've been involved in some great discussions today. This thread is specific in its content in that no its not trolling. Its understanding from those involved if form tables from both sides of the fence should basically be ignored. [Post edited 19 Dec 2022 17:02]

So. This 6 game form table. We re 9th... on 14:32 - Dec 19 by Pinewoodblue | Which suggests Derby, Barnsley & Bolton are closing the gap. None of those teams are out of the race for an automatic place just needs 2 of the front 3 to slip, and us and Plymouth are currently in the slide. |
Sheff Weds not exactly pulling up trees whilst we both drop points otherwise they’d be top and not in 3rd

So. This 6 game form table. We re 9th... on 19:03 - Dec 19 with 1393 views | patrickswell | It is extraordinary the way that the top 3 are so far ahead of the rest of the division yet have all suffered dips in form/results at the same time: Before Saturday, Argyle were winless in 4 games. We have 2 wins in the last 6. But for stoppage time concessions, it would be 4 wins in 6. Wednesday got to within 1 point of us and have not won in their last 3. I know if feels typical that Ipswich haven't kicked on when others have slipped up, but with 24 games still to go, there's no point in panicking or getting worked up about it when we're right in the mix for automatic promotion and there is still so much football to be played.

For me it's not even been the lack if wins recently that annoyed me. Its the way... Lose the Charlton I'd have taken before kickoff based on their form. But to be 2 goals up inside et throw that away.. Fleetwood. A draw against draw specialists was a given in a way... but the way we did it... Well aware you have blips. It just feels like a blip is losing a few games. Continuous drop of leads and losing points because of it.. becomes a concern. BUT we have January. Big big transfer window this.

But it’s not just restricted to us. Plymouth would now be 4 points clear of us again if they hadn’t conceded a 97th minute equaliser at Burton on the day that we won at Exeter. Fleetwood are the draw specialists except for when they played Plymouth, who they beat. Their next game is at home to Sheffield Wednesday who appear to be rivalling Fleetwood as draw specialists lately.

I appreciate that. But It's not in my interest how others have a mini struggle. Its just a shame we haven't been able to make the most of the situation whilst they have. Football will give all sides a drop in form through a season. the ones who come out of it best will go onto get promoted which is what we hope we do.
