A significant signing. Close friend of mine is an Everton supporter & his opinion was that we've got a real good one there. He reckons it’s a great fit for both the player & us. He’s a huge upgrade, still young, & certainly knows where the goal is. If him & Hirst find their form, then crikey we’re going to have some fun!

Congratulations! A screenshot of your OP made page 59 of Bristol City’s OTIB endless thread of hate towards MA and ITFC. Fame at last!
Their obsession with us is quite funny tbf. I enjoy it. It’s like when the little rat dog tries barking at a Great Dane. The big dog kinda looks at them with amusement with a hint of pity.
In 10 years time we will be without any shadow of a doubt 2 leagues above them. Whether that means they’re in the 3rd or 4th tier or were in the 1st or 2nd I’m not sure but the trajectory of both clubs is polar opposites and they can’t handle it at all. So for now all we can do is laugh off their obsession.
maybe wait to see what he does before we say he is the best signing ever in the league, plenty of potential has never materialized for every club in the country. On all known evidence it's good, but probably best to leave it there and wait for the outcomes

You’re missing the point.
All signings on paper haven’t played yet to be judged on. But from what we know, I genuinely think he’s the best league 1 signing ever. How have we signed a Championship level player of his calibre for only 1.5m
I don't know much about him so As with any signing, I will wait and see and then judge. We've been here before with people saying players are great and then aren't as good as it seemed.
We know he's going to get chances. If he can finish he's going to have a field day.

I think you should rename yourself Famous Romford Blue. Yes, I agree - they are a funny lot. I haven’t the faintest idea why they’re bothered to the tune of 59 pages. Mind you I noticed that they are unhappy with Nigel Pearson. Who do they think they are going to get who is better? Klopp or Pep maybe? They should try some of the mugs who’ve shambled around here in the past 15 years.
Back to things that matter - your OP, I don’t know much about either new signing, but from what I’ve read about them, I think they are the kind of forward alternatives we need and could make all the difference. I hope so.
I hope that’s it on the recruitment front. The existing squad seems settled and happy and too many additions could be counter productive. From what better informed posters than me have said we are at the limit squad numbers wise anyway.

I thought you were joking.
59 pages dedicated to Mark Ashton and Ipswich. Should we be flattered or creeped out.
FWIW i always listened to what Bristol City fans said about MA and for those reasons I'm reluctant to heap praise on Ashton until we achieve something. That being said, he's been good so far. His biggest decision was appointing a manager, he didn't do badly at that.

But the manager he appointed also has achieved nothing yet............
Hold ya horses.....

Next season when we are pushing for the Championship play offs and they are in the middle of L1 they'll still be saying "just you wait, you'll thank us in the long run for pointing this out just how bad he is - this certainly isn't just irrational any more, I've got some stats"

Headers, flicks, dinks, long rangers…. Even allowing for highlight reels to be deceptive, this lad looks like a baller
Quite the selection of goals there. I can't even figure out which is his strongest foot. He's scored a left footed thunder-b*stard with his left foot and a deft back heel with his right in that clip.

Me too. That's weird. Is it a tongue in cheek thread, or is it 59 pages of genuine sentiment?
There's a comment on that last page saying that they reckon Paul Cook is giggling away.... but I can't for the life of me work out why that would be the case. The same Paul Cook whose career is rapidly drawing to a close as he finds himself in non league, getting sent off for yelling at pub level referees?

Broadhead is a player that is only going to get better and better with more competitive, league football. The fact that he only played 50 or so league games prior to joining is crazy for a player who is 25. I think the 10 role, as opposed to playing as a striker, gives him so much more time on the ball where his dribbling and technical ability can really shine. In my opinion, he's still got a long runway in terms of his development and may turn into a top Championship, potentially Premiership player.
