On the one hand, pleased we're not selling him, on the other, would have liked to have seen some of him this season. Nonetheless, probably a smart move as he needs regular football, so hopefully he gets a good run in a decent side and comes back to us rejuvenated. | |

He was one of the best midfielders in league one at the time of signing so seemed a sensible gamble. But not usual to sign players who are sidelined with a serious injury! |  | | |

If we sign Slicker, you'd think Hayes out on loan, freeing up an extra space in the squad...3 spaces you'd think would be a leftie CB, a number 9 (I'm still hoping that's Hirst) and another attacking player (possibly someone who can play at 9 / 10 like TJJ did at the beginning of last season). Then we'd have to look at moving other players on for room for any additional signings, but personally I'd be happy with just the 4 (worked for us last window... ) |  |

I think the Simms move to Coventry for in excess of £5m (they have money) - some quoting £8m - shows the higher level we’re moving to, but also a game changing pedigree striker (which we need) is in short supply and very expensive
Agree on CB, Striker and attacking player needed… I think attacking player is right sided to challenge Burns.
I do wonder if a strong Premiership loanee may be the solution to one of the positions. But they’re a gamble.
