I bet Col Who are chuffed about this 14:55 - Jun 10 with 14436 viewsMullet

I can imagine if you’re one of their fans you’re attracted to losers, but imagine doing a staged bit to camera like this in your clubs colours.

Hopefully no far right Town fans would go on camera embarrassing the club like this!

There are bound to be some who walk amongst us. Some probably support Tom Hunt too.

You might laugh with the links but our own MP was denying a far right presence at a protest they literally organised

I wonder why a Tom Hunt who is more aligned to reform than the Tories would deny that the far right agree with things like the Rwanda scheme for example?

I appreciate it's not great metrics but sometimes you have to own those choices you make I'm afraid

Apart from being about a bloke doing a set-up to camera trying to suggest a link between being a "normal" football fan, who happens to meet National Front Nige and likes what he has to say, Vic.

Someone who used to be at the club has made the same point, wonder if Wayne ever revised his views after the publicity that all got?

Hmm, it's a discussion about how a football club's brand can be associated with values that the club may not wish to support, so it is right on the boundary between Football and General, I would say.

I'd hope they don't care at all - football should be for people all across the political divides. Non-story this, and if it was a Town fan I'd not care about it either.

We are all Town fans whether we are far left, far right, or centrists. Even if you think they might be misguided, they are probably decent people that you could sit down and have a beer with and chat about Town.

I'd hope any decent fan, let alone the club would reflect on it and take a dimmer view; given our captain is Sam Morsy, we've signed Ali whose spoken eloquently about his background and the foundation does sessions with refugees.

Not sure support for a bloke with such an established NF and antisemitic history, friends of far-right across the world and who parodied Nazi propaganda should be welcome anywhere. Especially when football fans are so wedded to things spanning Remembrance Day and various diversity initiatives all season.

No football club should be associated with a political party, whether I support their policies or not or a political cause. Football is supposed to be a sanctuary from all that nonsense and bring us together.

Nah nothing could putsch me to have a beer with the type to fund Nationalist not socialist Nige. The idea they're suddenly decent because we are all football fans is totally baffling.

So we can excuse people who support a political party of Hitler sympathisers because you could chat to them about football?

The fact you can't acknowledge a scenario where you could have a beer with someone you disagree with politically - shows a) a complete lack of understanding of how people are convinced to vote for different parties and b) no interest in changing minds, and c) says a lot about your personality.

It's been years now - just dismissing people as having the 'wrong' views doesn't advance the argument and hasn't worked on anything (Brexit/UKIP etc) - but seemingly it's more 'cool' to just shout into a void.

You don't see a lot of posts on here from Reform/Tory posters saying they'd refuse to have a drink with a leftie - I think us on the left should reflect on that.

It's not a political party of Hitler sympathisers though is it - all you're doing is reducing the intelligence of the debate to sub-zero and further entrenching people in the very views you disagree with.

God forbid how some would react on here if we ever actually had a prominent far right party get close to power...rather than just throwing the term out willy nilly.

You sound like you could be a socialist, and I could have a beer with you and talk about football. I can't get behind the concept of being a member of a political party because that concept means you have to support every party line even if you don't agree with it. I can vote for a party because they mostly align with me or they are the least worst option.
Being concerned about immigration is not a right wing issue. We all deal with the positive and negative effects of it. The people I find the craziest are those who don't even think there is an issue to consider.
