Much like Phil said. Everything coming from the Hull side is we are getting him. Everything from Philogenes side (agent) is Everton are. Hull appear financially better off if we do the deal. With that in mind I do hope the player is 100% committed. Just speculation on my part obviously. | |

Yes this is the key. Clever by us but I do hope the player wants in here. Obviously he’s been spoken to by management. 16 million is interesting considering Hull sources are saying 40 (both) I suspect Hull need money for financial fair play reasons and are inflating the price to appease and justify sale to fans. I read it as he wants premier league football. Probably would prefer Everton, but Hull need the money. Double sale financially better for them. They can inflate Greaves price so smaller sell on to Villa. We are probably saying will only deal when both complete. Hence delay. It makes no difference from a FFP point of view. Extra profit on one deal is balanced by less on the other. Would make a difference re the sell on clause though.
However if Villa have matching rights for Philogene then Hull won’t want to deflate the price if we could still pull out of the Greaves deal. | | | |
