The success of which they write being the ability to throw the ball a long way. These jurnos do go to uni and a get a degree nowadays don't they?

Well that, and the fact Delap didn't score an equaliser.

I learnt long ago that whenever a reporter is talking about a subject about which you know well there are always errors. Always.

it's live reporting, mistakes happen. they should be corrected though as twtd did with the whole mo farah/mo salah confusion. received the eadt mission impossible book of last season's reports, which is a nice little memento, but the first report i read is a massive picture of jackson scoring against stoke, next to a teamsheet which omits him entirely! the death of sub-editors...

Very poor from the BBC... on 14:38 - Sep 2 with 4117 views | monty_radio | Just to add to the theme - Lineker introduced the game by telling us that Fulham beat Town 10-1 on Boxing Day 1963. What he didn't mention was that two days later we beat them 4-2 at Portman Road; I was there.

doesn't fit the BBC narrative of 'little ipswich' though does it, how long before we hear Shearer's old chestnut 'there's no easy games in the Premiership.... apart from Ipswich at home of course'
Very poor from the BBC... on 18:10 - Sep 2 with 3764 views | TheBoyBlue | We all seem obsessed with how the BBC are doing us down and yet arguably they've dealt with us far more favourably than most newly promoted teams that I recall. I've not heard any of the lazy "it'll be a tough season" or "they're going to have to improve to stay up" nonsense that I expected. In fact they've been largely complimentary. And quite rightly so.

they were talking about fulham not beating ipswich in the top flight since 1963, so wouldn't be any reason to mention any of the times we beat them! did bobby score in the home game as well?

I get that - though as he's always looking for a humorous intro, sometimes followed by a comic pause, his researchers slipped up there.

Very poor from the BBC... on 21:24 - Sep 3 with 2759 views | rgp1 | Worth noting that Fulham only had 11 players, as the announcer made no mention of any Fulham subs before the kick off very poor I'm afraid,

To be fair, I don't think it was an excellent game and a little surprised by the high match rating on twtd. It was very even and not a lot of chances for either side. Scrappy is a stretch, though.
