I've been in supermarkets in Africa and South America where everyone leaving the store is confronted by security and asked to show the receipt and open your bag to make sure it looks like a match. Awkward for holier than thou greenies like me who insist on reusing plastic as much as possible. I walked into a place in Bogotá earlier this week and they taped up the flimsy black plastic bag I was carrying in an effort to prevent stuff being slipped in. Further down the shop was a girl standing on a stool as a look out. Place was wall to wall tat. |  |

Try Morrisons on Boss Hall (use the more discreet turn off the A14, just before the Asda one if you are heading north) which I often use when down in Ipswich, never found it too busy. Big new Aldi opposite too. | |
