Absolutely superb. Well worth watching.

Stephen Graham is a national treasure. And that kid actor being able to do that on his first ever TV show… future star.

10/10 watch

Excellent stuff

Yep, we watched it this weekend. It's greatly moving piece of work.

Stephen Graham is a brilliant actor, I've not really seen anything that he's been in an not been impressed with his acting.

….where he plays a yardie. In fact it might be called “Yardie”.

He doesn’t carry it off very well.

Stephen Graham is one of those UK actors where I'll watch something literally because he's in it.

Jason Watkins, Toby Jones and Eddie Marsan are others. Phil Davis too when more prolific.

Watched it over the weekend. Spectacularly good. I dont normally rave about tv stuff much (Peaky Blinders aside), but this is excellent. Really enjoyed 1000 blows too.

Heartbreaking. Sobering. Thought provoking. Devastating.
As the parents of teens it pulled us in all directions.
Trying not to post a spoiler, but if episode 3 doesn't win some kind of award there's no justice. Just incredible (as was the whole series).

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Binge watched it last week - incredible, harrowing, sobering, heartbreaking all rolled into one

Stephen Graham is incredible - as good as his role in Little Boy Blue that also had me in tears

It is called Yardie, Idris Elba directed it, big fan of Stephen Graham but his accent in that was wild varied from Jamaican to Cockney to Scouse in one sentence.

Yes it’s excellent and very thought provoking to.

The school episode did my nut in though, are children really like that in school nowadays? Are they really allowed to take their phones into class with them?

I think this or parts of it at least should be shown in schools to show the devastating effects stabbing someone has on all the parties involved.

He's great, but I would say his Billy Bremner in 'The dammed united' needed some coaching !

My partner works in a wide variety of schools from the poshest you can imagine in West London (where certain children's surnames are changed for their safety!) to the 'roughest' bits of Dagenham. She was absolutely gripped during the school episode and said that was by far the most realistic and relatable depiction of a troubled school environment she'd ever seen.

We watched the first one and a half. Just the technical process of a single shoot is mind boggling, nevermind the content too which is excellent.

It's the best I've seen it done.

Obviously been some excellent films with similar technical process but usually plenty of smash cuts etc.
