Problem is that anything worth watching will be picked by Sky, as will anything potentially half-decent thanks to the number of matches they have the rights to now.
If ITV stuck with matches that aren't being shown elsewhere, you'd be getting something like Stoke v Portsmouth. | |

So the EFL should have worded the deal the same as the Premier league do with competing broadcaster deals and let ITV, with the fewer matches, have first pick, then Sky gets to choose from anything they like. | | | |
