| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… 21:03 - Mar 26 with 1940 views | brazil1981 | …very dangerous! As much as we may not like it there will be sizeable proportion of the fanbase who actually support Farage. There would be potential for things to turn very ugly and bring more embarrassment on the club…the world would be watching! | | | | |
| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… on 21:05 - Mar 26 with 1876 views | Zx1988 | It just needs to be made clear that any chants or demonstrations are as a result of the lying, rather than Farage being here in the first place. Based on how the mood has turned since this afternoon, it probably wouldn't be incorrect either. | |

| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… on 21:07 - Mar 26 with 1834 views | thebooks | Well, I’d be amazed if Ashton is still here then. I dunno, the club has positioned itself as pro-Reform. Sometimes you have to choose the more difficult path and make a stand about these things. What happens when someone starts a “Nigel Farage is a blue” chant? We just let that go? | | | |

| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… on 21:11 - Mar 26 with 1705 views | DavoIPB | Yep I don't support farage or Polanski but there will be a sizable portion of the game base who support farage . . . I know quite a few! This could get really nasty and it would only really be Ashton's fault by aligning the club with farage. Having said that I saw post earlier when somebody said they hate the idea of sitting near a reform supporter. A good proportion of the supporters in the ground will be reform supporters, they are the most popular party in the country at present. | | | |

We have a 3rd promotion in 4 years in our hands, as a fanbase we can’t let this bollox take that away from us.

| Completely missing the point though on 21:11 - Mar 26 with 1690 views | Dyland | Why’s the club allowed, nae endorsed, a political party of any stripe make a jeffing advert using its brand and property. I remember being embarrassed by the Evans you’re a Canute chant (even though I was fed up with his egregious mess) but I may join in with Ashton you’re a Canute. Cos he’s a terrible lying egomaniac and has used and abused his role. He can do one. | |

Nothing should be allowed to distract from that, regardless of what has been going on off the field. There are better places and times to express dissatisfaction with how the club have handled things.

"A good proportion of the supporters in the ground will be reform supporters, they are the most popular party in the country at present." Reform are also the most hated party in the county, hence why this was such a major error of judgement.

Unless you want to undermine the players on the field, anywhere’s better. This fiasco is already risking undermining our promotion push, why would any fan wish the contribute to that?
| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… on 23:46 - Mar 26 with 1193 views | TheBlueGnu | I will be chanting the following at the Brum game: "I adore Shoebill's" Shoebill is a large stork-like bird which gets its name from its enormous shoe-shaped beak. The bird lives in tropical east Africa in large swamps and is known for its slow movements and tendency to stay still for long periods thus species getting described as "statue-like" | |

Most people I watch the match with don't support Reform, in fact a large number are politically apathetic. In 2024, only 62% voted in the East of England and I know many supporters who didn't even bother voting. But these people, politically apathetic as they may, ARE pissed off being gaslighted and lied to by Ashton and the Club. They are pissed off by the mockery and derision by fans of other teams. Do you think they will sit there and do nothing, much more continue backing Ashton, Werhun & Co?

100% agree with you. Unfortunately I know it's a cliche, but the game is about fine margins. We have a number of difficult away fixtures coming up and I fear that we could lose 1%, say because opposition fans are revelling in the Farage stuff, which will make all the difference.

| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… on 06:37 - Mar 27 with 629 views | ITFC_Forever | Surprised at the down votes Brazil is right…. And the division between fans will transfer from on-line to the stadium. Equally, I’ve heard of people trying to get Farage 10 printed on their shirts and the idiot who took to wearing the hat with Farage on at away games will be emboldened, so the fans at games on both sides of the debate could yet make it worse. And I’ll be amazed if Ashton isn’t still here. | |

| Those on here calling for chants or demonstrations at Brum match… on 06:40 - Mar 27 with 591 views | Kieran_Knows | Just my personal opinion of course, but for however remaining games there is a siege mentality needs to be created within the stadium (home and away) and the players need our support to get over the line, home and away, for 95 minutes. If people want to voice their frustrations, and understandably so, I would suggest before or after the game. | |
