| Twtd...banging yer own drum 07:55 - May 12 with 1259 views | bluelagos | What is your finest post on Twtd? Funny, cutting, insightful, whatever. Mine was when we were rumoured to be signing a player called Mutton (and Reggie L was in our squad I posted that if he signed and on debut accidently picked up the No 37 from the team shirt basket, he'd by "Mutton dressed as Lambe" Been downhill ever since. What you got twtd? | |

You had to be there really.

Turned out to be true, so my finest moment is still having a 100% Def info record. It's up there with never losing at home tbh

When my old dog was still alive & went everywhere with me in the back of my Defender, I had a home-made yellow triangle on the rear window with the legend “Farting Dog On Board”. Seemed to cheer many people up in traffic jams, we got loads of laughter, waves & tootin horns.

Ooops... didn't even think of that! Other moments that seem to have been met with a lot of support and kindness have been when I've posted my rambling thoughts from the cemetery car park on Christmas Day or birthdays etc. They've been very helpful to me and shown how special this place is with some good folks. As well as the one you mentioned, that I'd forgotten to mention, are the number of awesome people that I've had the privilege to meet over the years - whether that having been meeting up for a pint in London, or having supermarket shopping dropped off at difficult times due to covid (from Waitrose, of course!!), meeting people in fanzone before or in Beatties after a match, or at the TWTD BBQ, or in pubs around Town or meeting up for lunch - particular mentions for those no longer with us - Dalai Farmer, JoeSoap, PJH. There really are so many moments or memories that could go on the list. I even remember that one time when I said something mildly amusing that someone thought was funny.
