| Rename the Training Ground 18:55 - Jun 11 with 1200 views | EsherBlueStu | I think McKenna deserves a permanent honour at the club but I’d don’t think a statue makes sense. However given his focus on coaching and role in designing the new training facilities. What about renaming the new improved training ground after him? Instead of Playford Road Traing Ground, perhaps the McKenna Training Ground might be fitting. What do you think? | | | | |

| Rename the Training Ground on 19:00 - Jun 11 with 1148 views | Vaughan8 | I'm finidng some of this way over the top. He's done well. I've enjoyed his time here. He's ultimately won nothing though (3 second places.......yes we got the second place trophy woo!) The top 2 got statues because of things they've won. There are far more prominent explayers/manager who have done far more for the club that have nothing named after them. | | | |
| Rename the Training Ground on 19:05 - Jun 11 with 1091 views | FrimleyBlue | No no no, come on, this is getting a bit silly now I appreciate to many youngsters he's done more than many managers in the recent past, but it's been 1 ridiculous season of promotion mixed with a relegation and two expectant promotions, of which none were done by winning the league absolutely great times, lots of it will be remembered, but renaming of things are for those who really really achieved something at the club, that's not saying he didn't achieve anything before that comes in the replies, but it's not on the same level as our other two managerial legends. Stick a waterfall in the fanzone and pop his head on it with Burley and other club heroes. | |

McKenna has provided an amazing few seasons for us, our best manager for 25 years for certain, arguably since Robson, and on top of that a seemingly top notch human being. But I can't help but agree some are now going OTT a little.

You owe George Burley an apology you beastly man! Suffice to say I’m booked in for my McKenna portrait tattoo across my chest next week and I’m just getting AI to run through all the possible designs.

I did say arguably, I think Burley just edges it. My rationale being that whilst Burley's best season (prem 5th place) clearly stands out, but his teams had a habit of falling short for promotion, whereas McKenna nailed 3 out of 3.

Burley wasn’t backed anywhere near to the level McKenna was. I’m not trying to do the bloke down, but this season was not his best performance at all.
