The 12 o clock kick off and the bus replacements (think they're still going) meant I would have had to leave for the train by 7 ish.
So I brought a few people along and got a lift instead. Easier all round.

we've had a pub there for the last 3 games we've played them. and cut out the train we've got taxis to the pub door for a 10am opening. £20 each, then on return walk onto the train with everyone else as they don't look at tickets. sorted |  |

I think that has been the plod's guide. it was a stupid, stupid idea to play the game in the evening before a bank holiday. Of course loads would get tanked up, and play up. The same would have happened at theirs.
There is really any organised fighting, bar the odd idiots.
Stick a few breathalysers out and nick anyone who is being an idiot if they are over the driving limit.
Of course there will be banter, rivalry I doubt any would want it any other way, but putting the game on a midday kills the atmosphere and makes it harder for fans who have to travel back to Ipswich to watch games. | | | |
