I disagree with that. Sometimes you can agree with something someone has said whilst disagreeing with their overall view. Some stuff Farage has said about our failing MPs has been 100% spot on. That doesn’t mean I agree with him on his overall view of brexit though.

What if they are actually racist though? You don't get a free pass on bigotry because you're working class. The only people I see getting called racist are the ones saying or doing racist stuff. [Post edited 18 Apr 2019 17:21]

Really? According to many leading lights on this board anyone who voted Brexit is racist and did so because of immigration. Innit.

Many did. Many did not. That's all you can say about it really. I'm only interested in actual racists being labelled racists myself.

It'd carry more weight if he wasn't a career politician and an abysmal MEP himself.

I've never met farage. But I trod in some once. (With apologies to Sir Thomas Beecham. Or possibly Neville Cardus)

I've listened to him a lot, I find him a very interesting person and a magnificent orator. He is a bit racist though to be fair. He won't even share a table and talk with an Israeli.

Impressively nuanced young Rommers. Your second paragraph is something many could take on board. SB

Two cheeks of different arses. One motivated by a misguided faith in socialist dogma, the other a bunch of racists with a cultural obsession.

That just isn’t true. People voted for a variety of reasons, many through being misinformed. But that doesn’t mean people are stupid - it’s the people who tell the lies that bear the brunt of the anger from remainers, not those who believed the lies.

Pickles and Jono, which bit of that do you disagree with? Since man of the people Farage's first career as an investment banker he's been a career politician for a good 20 years. Do you feel he's been an effective MEP? He takes his £90k salary but almost never turns up to work to represent his constituents or his country's interests.

He knows it’s not true, but that hasn’t stopped plenty of people labelling people as such. Which is exactly the point he’s making
