They are so fickle, always are - they wanted Farke out when we played them last year. Then he was a hero, now he’s an idiot again.

But they had s famous win against Citeh, that must be worth a 2-year contract extension at least.

It's really not happening for Teemu Pukki at the moment.

Another wild effort by the Finnish international, this time from outside the area, is nowhere near troubling Ben Foster."

In the 38 games in which ALB played in goal for us, we averaged 1.53 points per game which, had they been over the course of a single season, would have seen us challenging for the play offs. This at a time when we were otherwise struggling against relegation. Oh, and didn't Mick Mills have terrific posture.

They’re genuinely such a strange bunch.

We can’t talk though, according to some on here we were in a “rut” after our victory on Tuesday night.

Similar to some of our "fans" wanting to get rid of Judge, after going into meltdown during the summer at the prospect of him leaving.

They're going to sell him for 30 mill apparently.

And rebuild from that.

Their sporting director came on before the game and spoke quite impressively. Basically said they picked a thrifty strategy to not make the same mistake as last time they were up (Naismith basically) and will assess Farke's performance with this strategy in mind. Seem to accept there is very high chance they will go down but aren't willing to risk the future on splashing the cash. Also said the Maddison cash just plugged a massive gap and didn't give them any real wriggle room.

Now it's failing spectacularly due to the above being compounded by injury and Pukki being marked out of games by October the 10th but I think their strategy does make sense, conceptually anyway.

Their fans do always seem optimistic to a delusional level and then quickly followed by total meltdown. Basically certain to go down and they haven't even got their advent calendars out.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Thrifty strategy, just making up for the £38m loss last season.

Fair play to them though, they did manage to draw the last 25 minutes against ten men, which is never easy!

Exactly. They've done the right thing. Going up has really annoyingly, in the short term at least rescued them financially. The fact that they were 38 mil in the shut means they couldn't splash the cash so at least they are getting pastings they deserve.

They'll still be getting parachute payments when they come down so if they are smart they can get them self in a position to go back up but with any luck they'll come down with no confidence and do a Sunderland and have back to back delegations and get back in a financial mess!

Poll: Genuine answers please on what you would choose next season!
