Think it was Guthers who suggested opening up more of the green space in London. Does seem ridiculous to be encouraging people to do exercise but restricting the spaces they can use, then complaining they are all too close. |

Went for our daily walk on Saturday to find significantly more people out and about in N Essex, more over many more were clearly not following social distancing rules.
Main culprits were teenages and young 20's - no way were they all 'living together' then at the other end of the spectrum many over 60s out and about, mainly walking their dogs with other couples.
Same on Sunday. |
Wife said the same on her 60min run she had to keep zig zagging across the road to get round pockets of people chatting -she felt uncomfortable with that! |  | | |

Not sure when the last time you went to a school in London was but absolutely none of them around here have school playing fields. I can't think of a single one within miles.
There seems to be a huge disconnect on here between people who live in the countryside and people who live in cities.

Its interesting- the derided idea of herd immunity is still essential it seems.
We can either flatten the curve- in which case herd immunity is the long term solution, or clamp down so hard that the virus runs out of hosts and disappears (at least on our island).
We dont seem to be aiming for the latter. |

I'd wager it's very localised and also down to the demographic and even religious beliefs.
Stokie was talking about his experiences the other weekend. I'm not surprised in London as there are so many flats and so little outdoor space.
It is slightly busier in our town in Wilts. Not much but things such as construction are still ongoing.
Edit; There is almost a permanent queue outside the local bike shop! They are running dry on stock and can't get new adult bikes of many types. Delighted to see that as it's a local chap who employs a local team. [Post edited 29 Apr 2020 8:34]
