Tend to have my music collection on, either a tape, CD or records or Mixcloud, but my husband does like Radio X, and is peed off that Exposure with John Kennedy is no longer on all week, and just moved to Friday/Sat nights. It is a good show. Have Popmaster on each day but switch Radio 2 off after it's finished. I do like Gold, but they do play a lot of the same playlist over and over again, same as Absolute 80s. |  | | |

If you don't want the talking aspect of radio then Spotify is pretty good at finding you stuff that's similar to what you like but possibly haven't heard of. |  |

My, now regular, listening is Today on Radio 4 until 9 then a conference call for up to an hour followed by 6 Music pretty much all day after that. 6 has always been a bit mixed during the day and then more interesting and eclectic in the evening but it's been ok on the whole the last two months.
They had some tie up with other BBC stations the other week and were broadcasting some rubbish from 1 Extra - that was truly dreadful. |
They do that tie up every Thursday at the moment, at 9am. 5 stations. ‘The Great British singalong’. | |

I struggle to write with any kind of words - talking or singing - so I have a Spotify list called 'Music To Write To' full of wordless stuff (or incomprehensible words like Sigur Ros). Works for me. | |

He winds me up too because of the dullards he has on there, I frequently find myself shouting at some of them at how stupid they are. With the rest of them if I want to ignore the talks bits then that’s usually easy enough which is essential with Ken ‘I’m the only one who finds me funny’ Bruce and Steve ‘I used to be funny in the 90s on Radio 1’ Wright.
The music is usually a good selection of old and new and fairly easy going without being overly distracting |  |

Never miss 'In Our Time' and 'Desert Island Discs' on BBC Radio Four and rarely miss 'Last Word' either. Try and catch 'The Life Scientific' but for some reason have given up on 'From Our Own Corespondent'. Managed to muck up the CD changer in the car so now have to listen to radio when I am driving, mainly BBC Radio Three but also BBC nan Gael when they have music or Gaelic lessons. Occasionally BBC Radio Two or Classic FM but too much interfering radio clutter and not enough unfettered music for my liking. And sometimes Kaye Adams on BBC Radio Scotland if a topic grabs my interest. |  |
